Yeah your right I have an estimate of $1995 which includes k1 visa, Adjust of status, work authorisation idk if I'm missing anything else I've already paid fee for the form I-129f so I didn't include that. Flights I'm not worried about yet because I can get a cheap one whenever

You have:
Petition: 535$
Visa Fee: 256$ if I'm not wrong
AOS (incl. EAD): 1225$

Then medical (in Germany around 430$), photos, travels (to embassy etc.), documents (criminal record, birth cert.) and the little things in between.

For me for example:

Express mailing my half of the petition with letter of intent etc.: 78$
Every parcel with moving goods (for me 5-6): 85$ each

And so on, and so on.

But @pajobra comes first! She's due! Hopefully there's already party time in Colorado Springs! :)

Case tracker still shows "received".
I was really, really patient so far. But these last days are kind of anxious.

I wish it was party time. Alas no mail yet. But we will see if there is today.

My fiance Chris is ill. He stayed home from work yesterday. I made him chicken rice soup and hard boiled some eggs. He is home again today. He cried this morning because he really can't afford to be sick. I held him close and told him we would do what we needed. He said love you take such good care of me. I reminded him that once I can work he won't have to worry about being sick and making up that time.

Yesterday since he he was home sick I took his van to do some exploring and get some groceries. I also found a plus sized consignment store that's amazing.  I found a dress for the wedding. Something special but also something I can wear again. It's black with white polka dots but guess what it's a reversible dress turn it inside out and it's black with blue flowers. Got it for 22 bucks American. I also bought a summer dress and a couple work tops. All for 78 American. They were excited to help me out finding the dress. They said I was the first Canadian they had in their shop. I told them I would definitely be back.

In a couple hours, I need to head to the grocery store again. I want to get some ham for sandwiches because Chris needs something more substantial but won't hurt his stomach. I will get turkey or something for me as I am not fond of ham.

I really hope hope we all see approvals soon. Lots around my wac number have rfe's.

I think visa fee is $265.

Medical varies depending on country. I thought mine was expensive compared to what I saw for other countries because it's 313€... But sure yours is expensive 😱

@pajobra Hope Chris gets well soon. 😘

Maybe silly question but im all confused after so many  people tell me  different.

When you recieve NOA2  you have to send  something  back to them or  after  NVC letter.?  What is it  you have  to send?    Letter from NVC comes to the  person in the  US  or  gets send to me?

Letter from NVC is sent to the US citizen. You don't have to send them anything. Next stage for documents will be at the Embassy, either having to send them prior to the interview (my case) or just having to take them with you for the interview.

No you don't have to send anything back during the K1 process. That only applies to other visa processes that are not for dealing with fiancé or spousal visas.

You will get notified by your embassy once they have received your I-129F packet from the NVC letting you know that someone is petitioning on your behalf and what your next steps are in order to prepare for your interview.

Good morning by the way...it's your favorite May Filer lurking yet again! :P
