You write the name out just like you would on a check. Then I think it also has fields for your name/address. Make sure you read the instructions on the I-129F very carefully. I believe it says to make it out to U.S. Department of Homeland Security...don't abbreviate anything other than U.S. But double check that on the instructions just to be sure.

Have you already gone through the guides on here for the K1 process? If not, you should definitely do so and it doesn't hurt to go through them again. We all don't mind answering questions on here but you need to familiarize yourself with the process as much as possible to avoid making any minor mistakes that could delay the process with a RFE. It helps to make a checklist and a cover sheet, fill out the forms then wait until the next day and review everything with a fresh mindset.

congratulationsssssssss i am so happy for you.

now wait for NVC, then once you have your case number check the case status on ceac check visa status, once say in trasit then ready is at the embassy then you can schedule your interview.

Thanks, the timing of receiving NOA2 was very special for us ... I received it the day before I flew to D.R. to visit my fiance, so it felt amazing to be able to celebrate that together, in person!  I'm sitting in the airport now, waiting to fly back home.  It's my understanding that I should wait about 2 weeks from NOA2 to start calling NVC to ask for case number?  Also, I can't seem to find anything specific telling me when exactly I can submit DS160 and scheduled interview.  Yesterday, we filled out the DS160 online together, but did not yet submit it (it saves online for up to 30 days), as I believe this must wait until it is processed by NVC?  Is that correct?  When is the soonest we can schedule interview?  If we can move the process forward without waiting for the embassy to mail him something ("Packet 3", I think?), I'd much prefer that!

Thanks in advance!  All this time waiting for NOA2 and now that we're passed that, I feel like I'm lost again, not sure exactly what to expect and when.  The various guides talk about getting NVC number, proceeding with vaccinations and medical, and then interview, but no real specific information on the timing for them.

Thanks!

Hello from VA!  I hope you get better rest tonight.

I am very excited to see another week full of approvals for March filers!! I thought after I got my NOA2 I would go back to hating Mondays, but I feel so connected with you all that I don't think I will until you all have your NOA2 as well!!

Hello back from heated up Bavaria! :D
It's so hot here - and almost as humid as in VA! :D

Still no NOA2 I guess, because I haven't heard from him yet. Maybe in the morning! :)
It's so weird... I'm not stressed out, I'm not impatient. Only freaking out more and more about the chest xray. ^^

And... I have counted for fun today:
If it WOULD work and I'd fly out around September 15th... I'd only have 12 weeks left. And only 10 of them at work.
THAT'S NOT MUCH!!!!
It's so close but so far away.
I hope this medical will be done soon, so I can really start looking forward! :)

I hope you're having a great day!

That is really exciting - I am hoping my fiance is here by mid-September as well!! Can you do your medical as soon as you get your NVC number?  I know some countries can, but we have to wait for the embassy to get the case and have the interview appointment set before my fiance can go to his medical.

Congrats to you and your fiancé!

It's my understanding that you need your case# from NVC to be able to complete the DS-160. Once you complete and submit it, you need to print the confirmation page because you will need that to bring with you for the medical exam and I believe for the interview as well. You can schedule your interview once you submit the form and pay the visa fee. It's all done almost simultaneously.

Good luck!

as I believe this must wait until it is processed by NVC?  Is that correct? YES YOU NEED WAAIT UNTIL NVC PROCESSED.

When is the soonest we can schedule interview? ALL DEPENTS FROM THE INTERVIEW DATES THAT YOU CAN SEE ON THE EMBASSY CALENDAR AFTER YOU PAY THE FEE.

If we can move the process forward without waiting for the embassy to mail him something ("Packet 3", I think?), I'd much prefer that! YES YOU CAN SCHEDULE YOUR INTERVIEW WITHOUT WAIT FROM EMBASSY.

you do this steps aferter you get your case number and you see your status that says ready on ceac check visa status.

i HOPE THIS HELP this is the process that you need follow, this is for dominican embassy:

1. Fill out the DS-160 (Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application), electronically. Please follow this link https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/, answer all questions. If your children are applying for a visa with you, each one must completely fill out the Form DS-160, on line. You must present the print out of the confirmation page, which contains a series of bar codes, and present this confirmation sheet the day of the interview. We suggest to write down the Application ID displayed on the top right-hand corner of the page.

2. You need to create your profile/electronic account atwww.ustraveldocs.com, to schedule your appointment to visit the VAC, (prior to your appointment in the Consular Section). You also need to select the place that you would like to pick up your passport and the immigrant visa package, if issued, in any of the twelve MAILBOXES, ETC locations around the country. Mailboxes, Etc. has 12 locations in the Dominican Republic, in Santo Domingo, Santiago, San Cristobal, Las Terrenas, and La Romana. After completing your profile, you will be directed a confirmation page that lists the visa fee amount due. Please print this page and take it to Banco Popular Dominicano to pay your visa fee.

3. Pay the application fee of US$265, the equivalent in Dominican pesos at any branch of Banco Popular. This one-time fee covers appointment scheduling, client support, and delivery services.

4. Finally, Return to the website at www.ustraveldocs.com to schedule your appointment for fingers print and to be interviewed, for your K visa, in the Consular Section.

5-you can schedule your interview for fingersprint at Galeria 360 one day and other day your interview at the embassy.

MEDICAL EXAM YOU GO WITHOUT APPOINMENT, JUST GO 15 DAYS BEFORE INTERVIEW.

Remember to be on time to your visa interview in the Consular Section of the Embassy of the United States, and arrive not earlier than half an hour.

Read some posts over the weekend about it being hot where people were. It's 115 degrees here today!! and tomorrow it's supposed to get up to 120 degrees. Is it possible to melt away? :D Luckily where my fiance currently lives it is almost just as hot, but more humid...so the summer here will be manageable for him.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Maybe one day we go for a coffee, since we're statemates then? :)

Yeah, luckily the doc I will go to has no appointments, just walk in. So as soon as I know the case number, I will just run there the following day, just to have it done and know my lung is fine.
Never thought I'd creep out so much!

Oh you poor thing!! I have lived in Phoenix my entire life so sadly I'm way too used to the heat. Days like the ones we are having this week are impossible to ever get used to though, no matter how long you live here. My mom is from/lives in San Diego and had the nerve to complain to me about it being hot there (it was 85-ish I think)!! haha. That's surprising he can handle the heat better, but you'll see who really handles it better once he deals with it for an entire summer...that's when the patience really gets tested! Lol.

I hope it goes like for all others: a week before VJ estimate. Mine is first week of July right now. It moved so far... I'm hoping for this or next week.
Would be sweet to have medical and interview done by my birthday, which is August 17th. Wishful thinking I guess, but IF the NOA2 would come before July starts there's a little chance :)

I guess it's only storming at your place. Scott just told me it's super hot in Newport News, VA. He's on the way to work baking ^^
I'm "soooo much looking forward" to Virginian heat and humidity hehe
