If you want to take that mental approach, then it ain't over until naturalization. :)

A K1 visa does not guarantee entry into the US BTW. The border control can still deny you entry into the US. It says it right on the USCIS website.

Read the last point under step 2.

I am so happy for everyone and worried because so many around our number have rfe's I am hoping that means approval soon. Chris had to work 6:30-2:30 today. I got up with him at 4:30am and made him breakfast. It felt so right and then I just started cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom. He has been a bachelor too long. Everything was dusty. Wonder if he will even notice. Trying to nap now as I have a headache I think from the heat. It's been over 30C so far and this Canadian is not used to it. Thursday is supposed to get to 39C ugh I think I won't leave the apartment that day unless our noa2 comes in the mail.

Thinking I might treat myself to a pedicure today. There is a nail salon with great reviews a 5 min walk from the apartment.

Chris and I are having date night tonight. Dinner and a movie. :)

I don't handle the heat well either...have you ever tried a Mission cooling towel? They work wonders! If you get one, get one that is teknit and not the microfiber one. We just drape ours around our neck and it keeps you cool and does not heat up from the warmth of your skin. My sister has a 2nd job that she does outside and she lives in Texas so I got her a couple of them from Amazon since they are very reasonably priced there and now she loves them too.
Also, what movie are you guys gonna see? =) I can tell ya that Wonder Woman, Pirates and The Mummy are all good if those were some of your picks. I can't wait for a date night with my F!

I get what you're saying but for me personally, the embassy level is the toughest. Again, I know it's different for everyone.

And yes, CBP can deny anyone regardless of having a visa in the passport. I hope that doesn't happen because I'm not gonna be flippant like another member who told the CBP he might or might not get married with his USC petitioner when asked if he knew he had to marry within 90 days  Or do anything else that's stupid to cost me my entry.

With this long and tough process, my eye is on the prize which is to marry my fiancé and get on with our lives as a real life couple

Yeah, can you imagine going through all this process, fiancee selling everything they own including the place they live, saying bye to family members, getting a one-way ticket to the USA and then the rent-a-cop at the airport giving a quick talk-to-the-hand? That shouldn't even be allowed.
