Also I've already decided I'm getting married in converse shoes. Probably yellow ones. Whether at the courthouse, or at the family wedding we'll plan later, or both!

I did the super traditional wedding once already. This time around I get to have fun :)

Hey all! How's it going? :D

Sorry to hear about packages that haven't been delivered. If you're using USPS, I suggest you guys to check out FedEx and UPS prices. Whatever you paid for USPS Express Mail (assuming that's what some of you used), the same price can at least pay for something like FedEx 2-Day 10.30AM.

Not trying to be sassy (OK, maybe a little bit), but how does checking out FedEx and UPS prices help us when we've already stated that we sent our packages via USPS? Maybe for next time, yes (and for international I would never use USPS), but I have USPS tracking and I'm confident the package will get delivered within a reasonable amount of time.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Sorry for being unclear. I meant for when you guys sending out the future packages to USCIS such as the AOS and such. I'm sure USPS would have your packages delivered albeit the unpleasant wait.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Mine was sent signature on delivery as well. Not sure how that is handled either. Tracking still shows my package as "in transit" but the details say "available for pickup" at the proper zip code. Maybe it will count as delivered once someone signs for it? We'll see I suppose. I know post offices generally close to the public at 5:30PM, but mail shuffling goes on at all hours. There's still hope!

@dkmfan85 @nephthys Mine was just updated for scheduled delivery tomorrow per the tracking info now. I was actually having this panic moment all day thinking I wanted to intercept my delivery and have it returned to me because I'm second guessing the info I put in my petition. I made my "how we met" page a bit longer (1 3/4 page) than most per some advice from other experiences and now I'm questioning if I should have done that. But oh well, I can't imagine they would deny me simply for being the annoying person who doesn't know how to keep it short. This is clearly going to be a looong wait! Glad we all have each other :D

That's usually my choice. I used a third party service to help prepare mine and Anna's documents. I sent the package to them via UPS, and they sent it off to USCIS with USPS after they went through their verification procedures. I would have thought for the money they'd go with one of the more reliable shipping options.

Okay, yeah that makes sense. I honestly wish I would've used UPS but then I realized I put the PO BOX address on the intent letters and figured I might as well just send to that address to not complicate anything. But definitely going forward I will pay the little extra to go through FedEx or UPS to have more reliability/quicker delivery. :)

I'm the same way as well, most of my clothes are black or grey. The struggle is definitely real lol.

Are you the USC or the beneficiary?? I know Davids bridal or Dillards has some pretty dresses that are like beige/champagne color (if that's what you're going for), but I don't know if they have international websites.

I'm the USC~ I'm not super worried about dress shopping, I'm steadily losing weight and I don't want to deal with alterations and all that when there's at least 6 months until it's needed. I think I'll end up going with a medium or light blue dress, because I've always associated the color blue with him and our relationship.

I mailed some supporting documentation to my USC fiancé using UPS and amazingly it was really delivered first thing in morning within 2 working days despite all the way from the other side of the world. And then we both actually looked at the live locator while voice calling

Subsequently, we used FedEx for submission to USCIS after I compared all the prices. We settled for FedEx 2-Day 10.30AM because we didn't wanna pay more and still wanted it to be delivered in a timely manner :)

Did you use RapidVisa?

Oh I'm sure it's totally fine!! Too much info is a much better problem than too little info. I'd say that's definitely not a reason to intercept yours. Fingers crossed your package gets delivered asap!

I usually need to go matchy matchy with everything between documents so I'd have done the same thing as you :D I actually reprinted many things to get all the addresses and dates standardised. That's a bit embarrassing  That's how OCD I am.

Yeah, I did. I used it on the recommendation of a good friend of mine who used their service a few years ago after comparing it to the price of another friend that is an immigration attorney. Even with the "family & friends discount," it cost half as much to go with Rapid Visa, and I didn't see any added benefit of having an actual lawyer.

Blue is a nice colour! :) I had my fiancé order me a $59 dress for my upcoming birthday and I'll save it for the wedding.

We've heard good things about them. It will all work out :) And yeah, for the I-129F, there's no need for an attorney unless your case is complicated for e.g. if it involves an entry ban or there's an extensive criminal history.

Yellow Converse would be fun yet comfortable! Have you ordered a pair?

Haha...that makes me feel so much better! I did the same with all of my docs too.  Surprisingly, I somehow resisted the urge to send USCIS a super pretty, insanely organized and labeled binder and instead just sent them organized sections of papers clipped together. I seriously fell behind in my classes at school already because I was so obsessed with getting this petition done, the last thing I needed was something to add more time. Lol. :P
