@TearsOfBabylon Well, Gary is not even curious. He just goes with the flow 😒 I guess that makes him plankton 😂

BTW, his dad used to work for the Army too and they used to move around a lot when he was a kid. He went to high school in Japan and Germany actually. Also his mom is from South Korea and he used to live in Hawaii when I met him. So many common points somehow :)

@Yzabelle Lol, these guys!

Uh oh... It's 1:40am already. You guys are too fun to be around, that's for sure :)

I liked Washington Dulles and Detroit Mc Namara Terminal best so far.

Houston was awful... like a labyrinth and JFK was more like a beehive with not enough signs. I thought I might get lost in the domestic terminal haha.

Houston was not that bad. San Fransisco isn't too bad.LAX is another bad one.

Actually, I think I almost missed that question too when I filled out the form before letting my fiance signs it. Lucky for the triple and quadruple check when I found that error and quickly rectified it.

Day after the day of receiving the RFE is awesome!! Are you guys gonna use regular USPS or a courier service like FedEx and the likes?

Hahaha! Long story about the double checking and triple checkinh the forms. I'll only get frustrated at my fiancé when I think about it🤣 I mean, I prepared everything, sent him everything. He'll only have to check the papers but because he was busy and didn't have time to do that, we couldn't check it together at all 🤣 what's funny is thay he signed every pages of our i-129f form. Hahahaha. And even the passport pages :D  i get mixed emotions everytime I remember it.  I just can't blame him right now.

We're planning to use the overnight courier.. I think they have that on USPS. I hope so. So they will be able to get it right away.

I was about to say, it's so late in our timezone, but I enjoy talking!

Ha, that's cool!
Scott's dad was a helicopter pilot, they were stationed everywhere as well. Scott grew up in Italy, was stationed himself in Korea, Costa Rica, Honduras and Germany.
And his family moved to Utah.

Dang, we need to meet. So many commons! :)

Really? I hated Houston. Didn't find the exit :P

My worst one is CDG. Charles de Gaulle in Paris. Awfulness excalibur.

My fiance is not as thorough as me that's why I am the paperwork handler :jest: It's frustrating sometimes but better that I get it all complete than having him submit something incomplete and slow us down. I'm nervous about the embassy level now because this is all on me and his paperwork for this part is easy.

And yes, USPS has Express Mail service. Try comparing prices between them and the other couriers (just a thought :) ) . When we sent out our I-129F, FedEx's pricing was pretty good and we went with it because we were more confident with the service.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

I went to Costa Rica 3 times. I love going there. I got my bag lost in Houston once haha but it wasn't bad. The nicest international airport I been to so far is in  Taipei.

Decided to randomly check case numbers on the USCIS site (since they are assigned in order) and saw someone only 2 numbers ahead of us and same "Received" day as us March 10th approved (June 14th) and also so some RFEs. Guess the website is not completely broken and hoping this means we didn't get an RFE and the approval letter is in the mail ;)

So I got curious and tried downloading the USCIS app tracker. But I'm confused what to put on the "date applied". Is it the date they received the file or the NOA1 notice date?

January 18, 2018:    Filed AOS, EAD, AP

March 1, 2018:         Biometrics
May 24, 2018:          Interview (Approved)

June 7, 2018:           Received Green Card

ROC Timeline:

March 26, 2020:      ROC packet sent via FedEx (Phoenix Service Center)

March 31, 2020:      USCIS received the packet

April 3, 2020:          NOA received

Sept 30, 2020:       Biometric letter received (I didn't have to do it due to pandemic)

January 20 2021:   Approval letter received

Use your NOA1 date. However USCIS system is not updating accordingly right now.
