You're welcome lurking! :)

Hehe, funny... friends from the UK have put my number in the phone, naming me "Sabine The Lurker". Because I was making fun lurking on them on concerts from the tech base upstairs. :)

I actually like moving. I like going to new places. Glad though, the next move will be done by movers (army). I'm done with that now. And it is an awkward feeling getting rid of almost everything I ever owned.

So true. Same here, hehe. AND - even if he doesn't admit: He's curious. hehehehehe

When you have movers, things get easier :D Any idea where Scott will be deployed next?

Haha, that makes three of us. Are we over-controlling? :P

I told him I could put his email address, but he was his usual "It's ok, sweetie, I don't care"... And the truth is he doesn't even check his email that often, so... Yep, we are better like this :P

I can totally relate to this 😂😂

Like @KULtoATL said. There's no latest scan right now. They're pointless since their system is... having coughs. :)

I call the system drunk :jest:

They should be sending an e-mail and text. Hopefully they will send both so that you guys can look out for the RFE. At this point, I am more hopeful that you'll get the NOA2 not RFE :D

Oh thank you! 😊 We only missed one box. Other than that I can't see any reason for rfe 😂 we sent almost everything! :D

No not really.
If they'd not have extended his assignment in VA Beach we'd have put:
Overseas:
Germany
Alaska
Korea (or Hawaii)
USA:
Colorado
Alabama
Georgia

And with luck we'd have gotten one. From Alabama and Korea he'd not have to deploy. That'd be good. From VA Beach he doesn't have to either, because it's a school kind of thing.
Kind of a weird imagination going to Alaska and being all alone there for 9 months. But that's army life and I know. Still.
I'm hoping for Colorado, Alaska or Germany (that'd be close to my home here) for 2019.
But you never know.

Have you gotten the potential RFE's response ready to go? If you have, you'll be back at the top of the pile very quickly :D

You know, we'll always keep you company here even if you are alone for 9 months. I'll be moving to GA when we do get the visa so if you guys are stationed there, we probably can meet up to hand out :D

Are you going to Atlanta or around?
I've only been at the airport there once, flying to SLC :)

Yeah. It's the #15 question 😂 where it asked if I have been to the US. we didn't notice it. I thought I checked the No. hahaha! The page is blank since I don't have previous spouse and children.. That's the only portion we could've answered. But oh well 😂 i hope we'll get back at the top of the pile :D we're planning to send it back a day after we received the letter 😊

Yeap, headed to Atlanta :D

So how did you like the Hartsfield-Jackson airport? The next time I fly there I will be sent to the tripod area as I've been reading in the embassy reviews on here :jest:

Actually, I think I almost missed that question too when I filled out the form before letting my fiance signs it. Lucky for the triple and quadruple check when I found that error and quickly rectified it.

Day after the day of receiving the RFE is awesome!! Are you guys gonna use regular USPS or a courier service like FedEx and the likes?

Holy cowballs bazinga batman!!! :D:D:D

For once I went out to spend an afternoon socializing and got stuck on the phone with a dear friend after I came home.
So I just plopped back on my computer and saw 182!!!!! new emails!! 99% from VJ, hahaha!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL NOA2 TODAY!! @SolFreeman @AnnieBee @marc941
Arrghhhh so exciting, I'm so happy for all of you!!! :D:D :jest::jest:

Now I want ours too, hehe! But since our NOA1 is March 22nd it might take a week or two more to find out if it's approved or RFE! Until then I will party with you guys and girls!! :D

To catch up:

@Eric&Olya: I'm sorry to hear about your RFE. Try looking at the positive! They have touched your case! Maybe it's something super easy to fix! Fingers are crossed!
@pajobra: Becca, I hope you made it good across the border! Have a fantastic time "at home" :)
@Estibaliz: My friend said the "delete fee" for the tickets can be so bad, that you could end up paying the same like for a one way. :( Other option would be - if there's no flights to SLC that you can take - book a cheaper one way from here to the states and then get a seperate domestic one.
@KULtoATL: I wish I was at pack 4 for the visa. I wrote it a bit confusing: I'm almost done with my 4th box to ship over! Sorry. My bad! :)

And last but not least:
@Gary JT: Don't you dare to take that crown off, hahaha! That's your trademark and we love you for it! If you're in Game Of Thrones you'd now be:
Gary the first. King of the Whiners, NOA2-Haver, The Now Unwhined, Waiter for the Casenumber and very dear member of the March Whinie Family! :)

Thank you so much @TearsOfBabylon!!! You're next!!! 🙏🏻😘🎉🎉🎉

At the suggestion of @Estibaliz I am posting this here as well since my dates span Feb and March:

It's been quite a long time since an email made me cry...

Before I left for work this morning I was having a conversation in my head saying "As long as I receive NOA2 by the end of the month, I will be happy and my fiancé will still be able to arrive when we were planning".

I arrived to work this morning and noticed I had received an email on my phone.  I opened it up and saw that it was the USPS Informed Delivery email.  After weeks of having this service on, I was just expecting to see another day of images of bills and junk mail.  As the email loaded, I saw the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration logo start to load and all of my breath disappeared from me.  I now knew that I was going to get the letter in the mail today but had no idea what the news would be (approval, RFE, etc.).  My first thought was "How in the hell am I going to make it through work today"?

Then, the email finished loading and I noticed something else.  Either due to how the letter was folded, or how it had moved around during transit/scanning, I could make out some of the lines below my address..."The above petition has been approved.  We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of Sta".

My breath still hadn't returned but the tears of joy started to flow and I couldn't stop them.  Of course right at that moment a coworker stopped by and asked if I was okay and I said "Yes, I've just received some really great news, these are tears of joy, don't worry".

I'm still kind of in shock that we've been approved, it doesn't seem quite real after all of the waiting.  Suddenly, BAM, today it's here.

Thank you everyone for your kindness and support during this process.  Even though I don't always respond, or am slow to respond sometimes, this thread has been my life boat during the wait.  I know we still have a ways to go in the process, and the interview still ahead for my fiancé, but for the first time in a long time I feel relief and hope.

For anyone that is curious, package received date in Texas was 02/28/17 with a 03/06/17 email & text NOA1 date and a 03/10/17 hard copy date.  Based on the NOA2 envelope being stamped as 06/12/17, that puts me at 104 days since it was first received and 98 days since the first NOA1 notice until NOA2.

I am looking forward to continuing this journey with everyone here.  You are the first to know, my fiancé doesn't even know yet and I plan to surprise him tonight when I get home from work and we have our usual Skype chat.

Hugs and love to all.

Wow, congratulations!!! :D

Omg Atlanta airport is the worst

I liked Washington Dulles and Detroit Mc Namara Terminal best so far.

Houston was awful... like a labyrinth and JFK was more like a beehive with not enough signs. I thought I might get lost in the domestic terminal haha.
