Yeah I know exactly what you mean. I'm just waiting for my fiancé to get a passport photo taken and maybe abit more evidence then I'll be sending the check to her then hopefully we will be all good to send the petition. Just happy that there is other people in the same situation as us and to relate to because it was just me and her in it together no one around us really understands what we have to go through together.

It's so hard when other people don't understand. My friends are always asking me "so what's up with him coming here...have you heard anything? Can't he just come visit?" They have no idea how complicated the visa process actually is and the reasons why they won't approve him for a visa to come visit. So I have to explain it over and over again and say we are still waiting and will be for months, blah..blah..blah. It gets tiring but having the support of everyone on this site really does help so much.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Yeah I know right! I just hope everything runs smoothly for me and her and hope it doesn't take 5+ months I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be there for good hopefully before the end of this year. I feel like we have provided enough evidence anyway so I hope It's a straight forward process. Just a quick question would the he suspicious about the check being in her mothers name because I can't send it from my UK bank account it has to be from a US one which I obviously don't have?

I'm not sure they care who the payment check's bank account is from since that's just the processing fee which gets handled before anything else, but I can't be certain on that. But she could send a money order instead if you're concerned about the check being in a different name. I sent a Western Union money order (cost .50 cents at the grocery store customer service desk) instead of a personal check. Western Union has an automated phone service to track the money order so I was able to find out when it was cashed. I know some people like seeing the check was cashed in their bank account, but if she goes with a money order service that has the tracking option then you guys can also track it that way. If you go that route just make sure the new I-129F which was released after us March ppl filed still provides the option of personal check or money order. I haven't looked at it since then so would hate to give you wrong info. :)

Aw okay I see what you mean I'm not sure how we are gonna do it yet I'm just waiting to get paid in two weeks time to send the money through to her. I'm a little worried to because she hasn't worked yet since she only finished high school last year I mean she worked at market basket for a little but hasn't had a full time job so I'm scared they will deny us because she doesn't have a income just yet.

Yeah if you're sending her the money you could send it via PayPal or some other money transfer wire service like Western Union or something. I think the requirement is for the US citizen to have a salary of at least 125% of the poverty level. If she doesn't have income sufficient to meet the requirements then you guys will need to have a co-sponsor who meets the income requirements. I've read some embassies may not even check the financial support at the visa interview, but it's always (I think) a requirement to bring the financial support docs. And it's definitely going to be required come time to file the adjustment of status.

Aw okay I see. who can be a co-sponsor? I mean she's got job interviews lined up so idk what will happen from there onwards if they wanted a bank statement I was gonna see if my parents would help me out with it to show I wouldn't be a public charge. Plus I will find a job straight away once I'm legally allowed to work.
