Don't you just love it when family give you a hard time about moving to US .. saying its the biggest mistake im doing taking my 2 kids to a Country full violence/ guns.   blabla bla

Tell me about it.. But in my case, it's not about the violence or guns. It's about waking up early and working. Well, who doesn't work right? Just because I have a well off life in my country, goes to my office at 11am, doesn't mean working for an average salary is a hardship. Apparently, mom doesn't think that way.

1980 is even better! Easier to calculate your age :P

Hilarious! Can I borrow this phrase? My fiance is 4 years younger than me, so I could use some positive affirmation not to feel too old among his friends, some of them being in their late 20s:D

I know the feeling. I'm 3 years older than my fiance even though I don't look it

I hope I don't look older than him either, but when there's a teenager around, who is as tall as me and whose feet don't fit in my shoes any more, it's kind of easy to guess that I am not as young as I might seem:D

Good morning everyone from the Philippines! ❤ I couldn't help not to check our case. :)) and still no update😂 😭

Guys.. We never received an email/text notification for NOA1 even if we attached the for g-325a.. I am confused, where do they update the RFE? Through text or email or just at the website? :((

Sending love from everyone here who's having a hard time! :)) you can get through with everything..

Goodluck to everyone! 😊 never lose hope

The couples that get approved get their NOA2 in the mail with no update on their website or an email/phone notification, from what I've read so far. We got an RFE and we got a notification via email and it's updated on their website as well.

NOA2 should be coming any day now for you two, so keep the faith and good luck!

I missed 2 boxes :(  The one about my marital status (married, widowed, single, divorced) and the one about have I ever been to the USA. Also, my home address in my native language is missing somehow, but that i can blame my fiance for as he was filling it out :D:D . So, with all of these mistakes no wonder we got an RFE but that's okay, it's small bump in the road. I still have hope we'll be together by the end of the year. This is a hard process to go through but one day we'll look back at it and say: "ha we stressed about that?" I wish you the best of luck and perhaps you will not even get an RFE as you've only missed one box and the form does ask about names of previous spouses and if you had any you'd have to write in the names.

Yay! 1979 rules! B-):P

3000€ is insane indeed. Haven't you considered the round trip option, even if then we have to cancel the tickets back? :jest:

I paid almost 1700€ for Gary coming last year, but that was last minute in July... That was crazy enough for me. I know I won't be able to get the amazing deal I got my first time going to Salt Lake that was like 700€, but still

Edit: When in August is your birthday? It would be great if you got the visa approved by then... But yeah, wishful thinking since it would be probably too tight :)

My birthday is on August 17th, but I doubt anything will be safe then!
I do hope I'll have gone through the medical by then, and maybe have scheduled an interview!
It still seems so unreal and so far away, but IF we get NOA2 by first week of July then it's still possible to have that timeline and leave in September! <3

A normal roundtrip to ORF is about 950 €. Last year I flew for Christmas, and we booked it very shortly, about 3 weeks before because he didn't get his passport on time, and it would have been 1350,-... but my travel agent miracled around a little and booked me a combo with an "alibi room" for one night in Vegas, so that as a bundle came out to 1050,-! Never been there though, lol.

A girl I know works for an airline and she said it's tricky to follow the advise of everybody to book a roundtrip and just cancel the flight back, because with some bad luck the cancelling fee will make it as expensive as a one way flight would have been. So you gotta look deep in their rules and stuff... I don't know. She said it's a good thing to check with airlines who have NOT been state ones before. So I checked with Condor (Lufthansa daughter) and a one way would be around 600 if I book it now. So if it's less than 1000 in August/September it'll be ok.

Germany has another holiday today... glad I don't have to work. And tmw I took off to visit my mom, and before that I'll go for another shoot of awful visa pics, this time along with a digital version for DS-160.
Does anyone know how many pics are needed after NOA2??

Edit:

@Wilma77 I'm so sorry this happened to your daughter. I hope she's better already... kids can be so mean sometimes :(

@pajobra Have a safe trip, dear! And a great stay - AND hopefully NOA2 in the mailbox in the next days! Hugs!
