Well, I was going off of your post which said, quote: "I am done personally.    I can't take anymore of the stress uncertainty etc.  I wish you all the best.  I will not be moving forward "

I was just providing my opinion on your post which seemed to clearly be referring to the process. When you post something in a public forum, it is typically to get a response. Sometimes you may not like the responses, but you shouldn't post something on a public forum if you don't want to hear the opinions of others. And I specifically acknowledged that it could be taken as judgmental and could be wrong, so you're welcome to correct me if I was wrong in my assumption from the post you made.

And I completely respect your opinion as well. You are certainly welcome to judge me by my "puppy" snapchat photo which, by the way, has no actual indication of a person's age or life experiences. But judgement doesn't bother me one bit as I know my situation and that's all that matters.

well  i like your puppy picture :)  It means you a fun person . Life too serious as it is..  if you can't enjoy it... then you allready Dead ! no matter how hard life is there is always time for fun and laughter.

I'm just a May filer doing my normal reading of the other monthly forums and I've come across your post(s).

I'm truly sorry for whatever is or is not going on with regards to you and "situation" or "process". Hopefully, things may change but it sounds like they won't, which is your decision.

While I understand what you're going through came be looked upon as you giving up considering no one from the outside knows the details of your "situation", and they shouldn't know. But remember, that when you choose to share your stories, whether good, bad or indifferent, you are subject to other's opinions or advice. Personally, I actually took offense to this comment which was kinda harsh but very sarcastic because I'm not sure how her profile pic would give you the impression or assumption that you have a whole lot more of life experience, and it wasn't even directed at me. I'm sure they are people a lot "younger" than you that have endured or experienced more.

At the end of the day, this "process" is not easy, and whether or not it had a portion, half or all to do with your "situation", keep in mind that we all have feelings and are all going through our own situations outside of this process and outside of VJ. No one should try to cut "below the belt" at the other person when they are not the subject or reason for your emotional decision.

I wish you the best and pray things work out for you!

Maybe YOU should have read a bit more.  Then you would have seen it wasn't this process that ended things.   I was simply saying goodbye to people.ive been rooting for and who were doing the same for me.

By the looks of  your puppy pics.  I am older and more experienced then you.   Married. Divorced (not by choice)  kids.   Whole ton of life experience

But I dont want to come off as judgemental...

What's profile pic's got anything to do with age, experience, being married or having kids

You are right no one should try to say maybe if you can't handle the process you shouldn't be in a relationship.

And you know what, you're right to feel that way. But because you're going through a difficult point right now, I believe you took what she said entirely too critical.

What she said does have value to it. This process is NOT built for the weak and NOT built for relationship that are do not have a strong foundation to go through this because this process is not a straight line, there are many bent curves and if you're not ready for it, then it's not for you. Taking the money out of it the situation, you have to be emotionally, mentally, physically and believe or not, spiritually prepared to go through this. Again, no one knows the details of your situation that made things the way they are for you and it's none of our business to know. But you decided to share, which therefore, you subjected to opinion. But because YOU know what is really going on, there's no reason to insult a person by judging them based on a profile picture for you to say that they don't have a whole life experience to understand or give an opinion, because if that be the case, everyone here would think I'm still in my 20's and I'm wayyyy out of that age bracket.

Needless to say, you're going through a difficult time right now, so I can see why you would lash out on the first person you feel is giving you negative feedback. But the fact is, this process is not made for those that cannot wait, cannot endure, cannot make it through to the end of the road. But when you choose to share your life, you open yourself up to feedback. So, I would recommend you take it more objectively than critically.

Well, I would even add... being married or having kids doesn't exactly mean someone is a mature person either. But I'm just thinking of certain cases I know personally, not judging anyone around here :P

Well said! I actually didn't take much offense to it because I'm used to people thinking I am younger than I really am. Sure it's flattering to look young, but I've had to overcome the stigma against it often in the workplace when climbing my way up the good ol' corporate america ladder. What's funny is she actually looks younger than I am, but I would never judge someone based on their age or assume that it has any correlation with life experiences.

I've been living on my own since I was 15 to escape a toxic drug and alcohol environment at home and have been the sole provider for myself since then. And 13 years later I sure as hell have had plenty of life experience with many relationships along the way, but would she know that from my 'puppy' pic? Guess not. :D

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

28! Yay, I'm great at maths :P

I'm 10 years older than that, but at the same time I am infinitely older and infinitely younger than my real age. It's not a matter of numbers :)

It offended me because I don't like to see people get ridiculed just because that person is miserable (it's the mommy in me, I do this with my son and friends). It was wrong and I'm not one that sits and takes that kind of talk from people.
