Hi March friends...do you guys know if the fact that my fiance moved to a new physical location and changed jobs will cause an issue with us getting the NOA2? His mailing address is still the same because we used his family address on purpose for his mailing just in case he was to move. But do you know if I need to notify USCIS of his physical address change? He's not even on a lease at the new place just staying with a friend so he didn't have to enter a new lease before coming here.

And also he quit his job last month (previously worked for the same company as me) and now he is running his own business venture...so now he doesn't really have an employer, just running some businesses in the food industry with his business partner. I guess I'm mostly worried that it could cause some delay if they are trying to run a background check on him or something. I know addresses in India and aren't super reliable in the first place so I can't imagine it will be a major issue. Just concerned that the latest information that we provided on the G325A is now outdated. Cue overthinking of any possible thing that could negatively impact us during this process!! haha.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

My two cents, because I saw people with my dates with the estimate before mine... It might have to do with when you sent the file. Mine took longer to arrive than the average (thank you USPS ). Wilma's was sent a day after yours so supposedly it was faster. Maybe this affects the calculations...

Yeah, I'm full of theories :P

I'm not sure about that...

The time between the petition being sent and received depends mostly on USPS or some other delivery service. How can it influence the processing time in USCIS?

I know, yeah... But the estimate has not really that much to do with USCIS but what people reports. I don't know how the algorithm works, just thought that might be one of the variables. Hah, just trying to make sense of things related with this crazy process. Mission Impossible :P

Oh, duh... Being slow today. I know why your timeline is not the same as @Eric&Olya's. You stated Texas was your service center and that got a transfer to California, but that's not accurate. Texas was just the lockbox and your petition was assigned to CSC from the start. Pretty sure that has to be it?

The NOA2 will actually be sent to the petitioner - so you should be fine there.  For the other items I don't think that will be any issue, might have to clarify at the interview.  But, there was no misinformation since everything was correct when you filed the petition - life happens, things change :)

No I had to send it to Texas first because of where my fiance lives.. afterwards they transferred it to California. I got my NOA when it arrived in California not arrive in Texas. That's the date it was approved on paper and that's what I filled in on vj. So no idea why it's different

Oh, but we all had to send our petitions to Texas, because that's the only place where you can do so. Then they sort them out and send you the NOA1 stating which service center is going to process them... that currently is California, except for a very few rare cases that get transferred later on in the process.

If you got the message stating "My Case Was Received...", that's not a transfer. Transfers show a message stating "My Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction".

Sorry, I don't want to bother you or be annoying with all this, just my logical mind trying to make sense out of things :)

Awww hugs. My fiance works 6 of the 9 days I am there but that won't stop me from exploring the city. I noticed on the metro page you could order an 11 x 17 inch colour map of the bus routes so I ordered one to be sent to my fiance's place. :D I am looking forward to getting to know my new home. I also told my fiance I was going to rearrange the furniture while he was at work he said have at it. LOL
