Wow what a small world! I never expected to meet anyone here within the same region as my fiancé. Right now, he said the renaissance fair is going on there :)

Yes, so fun,That usually happens in early June! The state fair out in Palmer and the Girdwood Forest Fair are some of my favorite summer events there!

WOW...finally caught up on posts after staying away from the site for a few days. SOOOO happy for all of you who are getting the NOA2's!! I can't believe our time is already here. Mine will not be for another few weeks at least since I filed at the end of March but I'm starting to freak out that it's approaching so quickly. I still have so much to do with getting documents in order. I stupidly didn't take a complete copy of the finished package...I have copies of everything that was sent but I need to assemble it to how the original packet was sent that way my fiance can review it and have it at the interview. And I need to start getting all of my financial docs together and additional proof of ongoing relationship since filing. My fiance doesn't even have his passport yet!!! Ahhh. I am going to visit him for a month in September and when I booked it seemed impossible that I would be able to be there for his interview, but now it's seeming like it may actually work out that way. Fingers crossed that we all get our NOA2 on time!!!

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

The seafood is so amazing!!  I lived close to Flattop and would hike there almost every weekend.  Thunderbird Falls is also a nice place to go.

Omg could you imagine!? It would be so amazing. I'm not going to expect it, but holy cow if it happens I will be the happiest person in the world! We are only one day apart for our NOA1 so we should hopefully get ours around the same time!!

@Alysia&Luis: I hope, if we don't get Germany or Colorado for 2019, that they'll give us orders for Fairbanks! My cousin was stationed there for 2 years... kept envying her and the family for the Northern Lights right out of their door! <3

@Richardson: CONGRATS!!! :D

@Gary JT: Did you hear from your lady yet? :D Can we party? :D
