Actually I am really hoping to move there by December 2016. Then I can start my new life with my new husband (then) by ushering in a new year. It is all so exciting. The only part I'm not so thrilled about is immigration paperwork and being in a limbo :bonk: Just the other day I was already telling him what marriage dates we should consider if I move in November or December  Have you talked about dates and all?

Sorry I was finishing work yesterday and forgot to reply when I got home >< We planned to get married in court as soon as I arrive and legally be husband and wife (within 1-1.5 month).

Because we're both Catholics and prefer taking time to prepare for our church wedding & reception, (when my parents from Vietnam and maybe some close friends can come to the ceremony& reception - it takes time to get a visa for them) and have time to get all the things (and hopefully a house) right, we'll have the religious ceremony later maybe next year :) I completely hear you on the limbo part so we'll try to get the paperwork & legal stuff sorted as soon as we can. We may end up having 3 receptions in different countries haha..(NZ, VN, & US )

We are only doing a court wedding :) Simple is our middle name. Thereafter, we either have a little BBQ party for his family or we'll cook for them at his sister's place. We wanna put our money towards a second house.

3 receptions sound like a lot of fun! I've never been to a Vietnamese wedding :)

I wish I was  It would nice to be able to share the holiday season together. His family been asking when they can see me again.

I'm hoping for the holiday season as well... it would be a perfect time for settling into the new life.
If only NOA1 would finally come in. The wait after will be worse, I'm aware, but it's this little baby step of movement, that I'm waiting for. Arghhhh :D:D:D
Day 11!!!

I'm bugging the hell out of him already, for checking his mailbox haha

That's a true female skill, being able to bug so much, even from 6854km distance, hehehe! :):):)

Oh, since you spoke of weddings above... right now our (my, since he put me in charge :P )plan is to go to Las Vegas and say "I do" in the High Roller (biggest giant wheel in the world).
Since all our family and friends are spread all over the US and Europe this will be a cool thing! :)
Looking forward!

haha of course! lol we can take up to 10 people in the cabin :D:D:D
I haven't been there either, but I kept joking about just going to the Elvis Chapel and making trash epic! So this turned out to be a plan.

But actually for us it would be a good solution, since it's impossible to gather all loved ones at one spot.

They have cabins in Vegas? Ooh that sounds really, really good! Have you booked anything?

It's really difficult to plan when we don't know when our K-1 would be issued. Court wedding is the best for me and my fiancé :D
