Actually if I didn't tell him to check the mailbox on Friday, the NOA2 would probably still be there and we don't find out till god knows when  :bonk:

I ordered a second suitcase online. Just gotta start packing. Gonna begin the purging too because time flies.

I'm really nervous about the embassy level!!! Have you got most of the documents ready?

Yeah, I got my criminal records ready, just need to get new pictures (and a digital one) and a birth certificate, but that's done in a week.
He's ready with docu as well, I HOPE haha. He needs to get his bank statement, the rest should be ready to snail mail once he can copy the NOA2.

I'm only freaking out about the lung xray at the medical. (smoker and paranoid).

I'm busy with packing box #4 to ship now. I'm trying to travel as light as possible. My plan is to sort out and pack shipping til NOA2 comes, and after that I'll start selling furniture.

I hope the plan works, and I hope the timeline works, so I can move in September.

What's your wishtime to move?

My fiance signed up for it when it first started. He loves it. He says to me that now he knows when to take the trek downhill to his mailbox and when not to LOL

You've got a good plan there. I'm looking to move there by end of October or early November.  Probably a December courthouse wedding B-) I'd like to move sooner and finally ditch my mean spirited boss but I've gotta get tax clearance before leaving the country and the Malaysian tax board is slow.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

Our file date is March 13, I posted a couple weeks ago about the internet being down in UAE where my fiancé lives. May 22nd was the last time I received a message from him it was 6 days later I found out he is being detained in a jail in Abu Dhabi. I'm not 100% sure of the details however, what I know is a friend owed my fiancé money and wrote him a check. My fiancé signed it took it to the bank and bank personnel checking it said it was a fake check. (Not sure what that means exactly) bank ppl called police and my fiancé has been detained ever since. They are charging him with a felony.  He has never been in trouble with the law before, ever. Just a few short weeks before we would get our NOA 2 and we were both looking forward to everything after that. I am in the process of hiring a lawyer in Abu Dhabi. Does anyone know if he will still be able to immigrate to the US if for some reason the felony cannot be cleared? I cannot believe this is happening 😭😭😭💔

Sorry to hear about the news. I'm not sure if he can still immigrate but I hope the attorney could prove that he really wasn't trying to commit fraud and simply trying to cash a check from his "friend".

I'm so sorry to hear that. My fiancé lived in Dubai for 3 years. I'll ask him about this. I just wanted to ask you so your fiancé wrote a check to his friend or his friend wrote a check to your fiancé?

Btw I'm working in a bank here in US but we had never called the police if someone brings a fake check because our system doesn't recognize the check anyway so i don't know why they call the police when they can simply tell him they can't cash it!!! May be it's a rule over there or something but I will talk to my fiancé and ask him...

You're too early, and my Senor doesn't do nothing, because he doesn't want to make an account (laaaaaazy). But he drives by his mailbox every day anyways, so... if I know a couple of hours later or earlier doesn't matter. :)

Well, my señor did the bare minimum here again. I created the account and he just had to verify his identity :P

The mailbox is close by but not really in the way, so better that than being annoying asking him everyday if he went to check it :)

So.... I guess he went the smart and easy way, since he really goes to the mailbox daily.

But I'd never admit he is right :P

Congrats on your NOA2 once again, what a relief! I wanted to ask you -- did your online case update at all, or you just found out about your NOA2 when it already came in the mail?
