One more trip for me first week of July then next time I see her will be when I buy my one way ticket 😁🇬🇧🛫🛬🇬🇧,i don't think you'll have any trouble since your partner is in military, have you expedited your petition 😉

No, we can't expedite because he's "only" stationed in the states. That would only work if he would be about to deploy. Thank goodness he got the joker card to be stationed in his hometown, in a school installation, so he doesn't have to deploy for as long as he's there.

We matched on Tinder in... uhm... I think early 2014?!?
I was just there to look around for people liking the same music... nobody believes me, but it's true.
I've had two really horrible relationships before, and had decided to stay single until I retire.
So we were talking, sometimes more, sometimes less, and every little thing that could lead to meeting in real was refused by me instantly.
If I had only known what a big introvert he is, and how much it had cost him to ask me if I want to come over for Taco Bell or so. "NOPE! I'M NOT ONE OF THESE!!!" :D:D:D

Haha, and even if there were weeks, sometimes months of no talks we never lost each other. That was meant to be... I decided to find him VERY nice and worth for a meeting in July 2015, and from that day on he owns my heart more than anyone ever did before.
7 months later the army decided he can't extend his stay, and I had to drop him at Ramstein Airbase, not knowing when or if we will see us again. That was the hardest thing to do.
After 8 long months he settled and was able to get leave, so he gave me a ticket for my birthday and I flew "home" for the first time.
Then we also flew to Utah to meet his family, and I was instantly adopted by these lovely people. After that we officially got engaged (we were "pre-engaged-plus-plus-uber-plus" before, because his parents wanted to meet me first :P ).

Rest... yeah. Waiting for my visa to go home to him and our two cats! <3

Yes.. But I hope they will no longer misplaced it.. Because it's Already hard for everyone to prepare and gather everything for the packet, wait for approvals and then only to get and RFE just because they misplaced it. :3  Lets Just pray that in this group they didn't misplace something

Yeah, hopefully they don't loose our passport photos or so!

Yeah, and being able to deal with a LDR isn't an easy thing. I'm surprised by myself that I can handle that so good. But it will remain difficult, since he will have to deploy again and then I'm probably sitting in Alaska or wherever, waiting for him to come home after 9 months.

You're doing great, Gary! And time is flying already, so the suffer is over soon!
And if I ever joke - it's never meant serious, you know that? :)

No 😱 I hope not that one. -___- Good thing I gave my fiancé another copy of my passport photo just in case. but i hope they won't loose that.. as long as we all clipped it, we're all good. :)) But if they're careless and loose it, oh well 😑🙄

You're right.. LDR isn't an easy thing.. I'm actually getting tired of this.. we've been just in LDR for four years now. We met on facebook in may 2013.. after 5 months of talking, he confessed to me and I felt the same way so we decided to date.. he couldn't still afford to visit me since we were still both young.. he was 20 and I was 19 and we were still studying.. and he moved to Chicago to live by himself and to start his career :)) so after 3 long years of waiting, we finally met last November 2016.. :)) We didn't get engaged yet when he was here but we decided to file for the visa week after he went back home. Asked for my parent's permission through messenger.. And then when he visited last month, he asked for their permission again over dinner, and I was just clueless that time since I thought there's no need to do that because we already filed for the visa, that means we're already engaged.. but was very surprised when he kneeled down and asked me to marry him.. Hahaha! Funny thing is that, before he did that, he told me to drink a couple of beers! I don't like it too much, i easily get drunk! Hahaha! So when he asked me, I was already feeling drunk.. i didnt know what to say so i just said, yes hahaha! I couldn't talk at all anymore because of the beer. :D so that's our story. :))

i just hope we'll finally close the distance. I just hope that this process will become smooth for all of us.. That way, there will be no more thousand of miles of distance.. :))

Oh no. :/ I also put our pictures in a ziplock. And then I just used scotchtape to put it on a page for the pictures together. Hahahah. I should've just fastened it with the papers. 😂 but I think it's still should be fine😊

Awwww what a sweet story as well! :) <3

Hehe, yeah Scott and I kind of got in silent agreement about engagement, so him proposing was ACTUALLY not necessary. And i never wanted him to kneel, because we'd both feel so awkward hahaha.

But the way we got pre-engaged-plus-plus-uber-plus was actually funny:

He told me he had to leave Germany on a Saturday night, and I broke down crying, because we had so much hope he can stay.
So the next day we went to a day trip to a historical king thingie here, and on the way we stopped at a rest station. Our ritual as long as he was here was getting each other a kinder egg from every gas station we stop.
So I opened mine, and it had a little blue bunny inside... and a little yellow ring with a butterfly. I started giggling and said, dang you did good on that one: YES I DO!
And we laughed, but the look at each other told what to do. <3
I have that little yellow ring laying here right in front of me all the time.

So then he couldn't re-ask properly, because of the parents, and once it got close for him to leave they loosened the rule, but then it'd been a hurry.
So after the parents meeting I was wondering if he will ever ask right lol
And on the 2nd last day of my stay, we were coming from meeting his friends... on a crossing.
And he said: "Over there is a giant ring store. Do you want to go there with me?" "Yes, I do!"
Haha 1 hour and 1500$ later I was smiling like a retard and in desperate need of a pizza lol
