It might be hard not to spend it with your man, but just focus on thinking how lucky you are to have this problem -- knowing the feeling of loving someone that missing him is such a bittersweet experience This is a great gift of a relationship just getting stronger and stronger each day.

On a side note, has anyone heard the news that they're adding a new form to each new visa application where you have to provide your social media handles that you've used in the last 5 years, along with places you've visited, lived, worked at, as well as e-mails and phone #s used in the last 15 year?

You're exactly right. If the people in your life aren't for you, they will only be there for a moment to teach you something and then God will make it to where they'll go away in his timing. I'm glad you found the right one and didn't get caught up with the wrong one with the first K1.

I'm slowly getting over the loss of my fur baby. There's still times where I wake up in the middle of the night expecting to hear her snoring, but alas there's only silence & my fan going. I got her ashes back last Friday so she's finally home (kind of morbid, maybe... but I somewhat feel better having her close). I keep having to argue my family down to not get me another dog as they think it'll make me feel better. I just can't do it right now and wouldn't be fair to not mourn her loss the right way.

 

I've been trying to keep busy so I don't sit for too long and start thinking about everything. My mom and step dad recently opened up a Mexican Taco Truck (it's so funny seeing a Cuban woman making Mexican tacos.. never thought I'd see the day) so I've been spending my weekends there mainly helping out and getting paid in free tacos (yumm..). We're participating in a Food Truck Festival this Saturday so that should be fun. Also keeping busy at work as well. I know I'll most likely be getting layed off in Sept, but I just don't have any nagging feelings of looking for something else yet. I know God will let me know when it's time and when he's opened up the perfect position for me. Working out has been a great stress reliever too. Been trying to work out every day and I work out with a trainer 3x a week who has been a great friend, mentor, therapist, and drill sergeant. He listens to me and then makes me work out so hard I'm too tired to think about anything else afterward. Best part is he doesn't flinch when I begin to cuss him out for making me run LOL.

 

I finally started going out too and went dancing Friday night with my sis and a co-worker to this lounge that has Latin Nights on Fridays. I'm usually a hermit who stays home and watches Netflix or the Fire stick all night, but I had a blast and was able to salsa dance my worries away for the night... I'm hesitant to say I met someone at the lounge. We danced, had good chemistry and he was patient when I tried leading him instead of the other way around LOL! But, I'm not ready. I'm not ready to even think about anything at this point because I'm still stuck on my ex-fiance... I guess I can call him that now. It's been almost 2 months since I've talked to my ex and I've tried to reach out to him to no avail. I think it's safe to say that it's over even though I have this feeling telling me not to give up. I just can't fight alone. I guess it would be different if he actually responded to my advances, but because he hasn't I have to kind of give up. I'll keep the visa going at least until it gets to the embassy and see what happens from there; I hope things change but I also know if it doesn't then I'll have to move on sooner or later.

 

I continue to pray and put faith in God. I'm trying not to worry about the things that are going on and that I'm unable to control. God always gets his way and will make sure what's yours will be yours and what's not for you will go away forever. He always has a way for you to learn your lesson even if it has to be the hard way because your hardheaded. So we'll see what happens.

 

I'm praying for you March filers to get your NOA2 ASAP. We're finally in June! Can you believe? And here we were in March and April talking about OMG CAN JUNE/JULY COME ALREADY?!?!!?! Why is it taking so looonngg?!?! and BAM we're here! LOL!! We have some really special people in our monthly thread and I can't wait for everyone to be with the loves of their lives and begin their new chapter with their other half.

I can totally understand your feelings, and how you are torn between hoping and walking away. I've spent much, or better wasted much lifetime on a wrong person, who hurt me in the worst ways. I was fighting alone as well, and it took an eternity until I had the strength to just give up and let go. After that I was in my nutshell, decided to stay single forever. Well, you can see: Someone opened the nutshell and lurked in.
Never loose faith!

I think, what you are doing is right. See what happens if you back off, and if nothing happens til NOA2, you know what you have to do. 
Whomever with it will be: I wish you the best of luck and tons of happiness. 
Your heart will tell you the right to do, and if it can't fully decide, let the mind and brain help it.

I heard of rough plans before, but it shouldn't bother us (yet) I guess.

Plus, I assume that will be "stricter" with "dangerous" background countries again.
But like written there: it's optional (yet) to give out the info. On the ESTA application is the checkbox for a facebook account for a long time. I didn't fill it and had no problem or delay. 

And even if.. I personally don't care. Nothing to hide, except for a lot of Happy Metal.

Well, I have nothing to show I don't like social media.

I do have a Facebook account but I've never posted anything, and I'm not even friends with my fiance there. Now I am afraid it might look suspicious...
