I bet saying goodbye after 2 weeks is hard too! Just a short amount of time to spend together then you have to wait for another year to see each other again.

This is the reason why I have a high respect for couples who are in LDRs. The true test for patience, trust and faith!

Well, truth is my fiancé has only been a week in Spain 😱 He was starting a new job and it was that or nothing in another year.

I however I've been there for five months and a half total. Good thing there's two of us traveling here, because otherwise it would be really crazy and hard. The longest we've been apart was 10 months, and that indeed was too much.

I think you need to be in a LDR to really understand. Some people can be quite unsympathetic when you are having a bad day... Because supposedly you knew it was going to be like that, so suck it up

Oh yeah I have one friend who says at least you have someone so why are you down. I often just look at him and say you have no idea how it is. He is like you will be together soon. I usually at this point say yeah we will be and leave it at that. So now when I am around him I pretend to be happy. I pretend a lot at work, with my family, when I am out. etc. But inside I just want to cry. Some days though I can't fake happy. LOL And ugh the question so how is the process going. My boss asked me again yesterday after asking last week. I guess I got a look on my face because she said oh I should quit asking cause you will tell us. LOL

Funny thing is the ones that tell you that are also the ones that make a big fuss because their SO is gone for a week for work or whatever and they miss them soooo much. I mean, of course you do, but then don't be a hypocrite.

I guess we all fake happiness and keep a lot to ourselves. I don't get asked much, but sure that's annoying at times. Yeah, we know it will happen eventually... But that doesn't mean we don't want it to be sooner better than later.

Hang in there! We are closer :)

I don't know that anyone is running scans right now but the processing page on here does some approvals for February along with various from Jan and Dec still.  It's a mixed bag but we can be happy they're into February at least somewhat :)

I feel like I should be preparing.  So should I get the financial form ready have him do the police reports and medical? 😱😃

I am heading down to visit my fiance in Colorado from June 15th-25th. He is going to fill out the support form and give me all the stuff for it as well as the copy of the I-129F package he sent in. Then when I do get an interview date he will send me a new intent to marry letter. I plan on calling my local RCMP office here to get my police name check done. I have an appointment with my doctor next week to get my prescription refilled but also to get a new tetanus shot so that my vaccinations are up to date. Once I have a date for medical and the interview I will go get all the photos I need done done. Oh and print out the new evidence of a relationship as well for the interview.

My fiance is in love with the informed delivery usps has now. He said to me today it works so good. I saw 5 pieces of mail for today and then said sadly nothing from uscis. I said that would be a miracle if it was. LOL

I am in Utah and I want to do Vegas as well we decided on the honeymoon there. And it's funny you said Virginia Beach i grew up in Hampton Virginia a not far from there. Most of my family is in North Carolina now.  @TearsOfBabylon

HA! That IS funny. He and his family are from VA Beach, but all family is in Utah now! So the circle closes! :)

We also have an average month vacation period in Spain, but do you know what we also have? 15 paid days off when you get married, even for civil unions :o

The road trip from Salt Lake to Vegas is a nice one :D 6 hours only and when you get there is actually an hour less, so that's cool. The best part is when you cross Colorado, since that's a more fun road to drive in between the mountains. Well, Jaime wouldn't agree it was that nice, since he was meowing all the way. Poor thing!

We don't have anything set in stone because we haven't talk about wedding plans much, due to all the uncertainty. We know it will be a small thing since no one from my side is coming and we don't like the big fuss. Most likely we are having a court wedding in Salt Lake City. Gary's parents (it seems weird to say my fiancé all the time :P) might come since they live quite close by... I mean, I honestly would prefer to be only us two and his work friends... because they already invited themselves, lol.

15 days!!!! Darn, that's much! haha
We have one paid day for wedding, one for birth of own child and one a year for moving.

Yeah, my future mom in law said next time I'm around we should make a road trip to Vegas. They even have a shared vacationhome there, so that'd be perfect. So she kind of oracled our wedding, when we haven't even officially been engaged.

But we'll see as well. Nothing in stone either. :)

Oh, and btw... I rather call Scott Scott as well. I agree with the weirdism of fiancé all the time hehe!

Hey Whinies! :)

Just to throw that in, because @pajobra wrote it here:

I was asking on a different forum (German one) if the 2nd letter of intent and the copy of the i129f are really needed after NOA2.
Got confused, because it's not mentioned on the checklist for pack 3.
And the proof for ongoing relationship isn't there either. That is just listed on travel.state.gov.

So they (visa pro's) told me that a new letter of intent is only necessary when you would need more than 4 months from NOA2 to interview, and the copy of the petition is not needed anymore, because the embassy receives it from NVC.

Can anyone verify that?
I mean, it makes sense, and the people on there are gone through all kinds of visa.
Would save a lot of paperworks (for them :P ).

You're so right.
I mean, I'm not regularly breaking down crying, or are permanentally sad that he's not around. We are used to that.
I just want this whole process of getting rid of my stuff to be over and finally fly.

But - oh yeah - when others are like super devastated because their SO goes on a job trip for a week or so, I can only grin and think "Don't be such a wuss... walk in my shoes!"

LDR is a whole new level of hardcore waiting, missing, and still going on with life.
We're doing this pond hopping thing since February 2016, and before we had a weekend relationship.
I'm not dying of longing, but I will be happy once it's over! :)

Ok, so, I have yet another question  hehe  What is everyone using to check where the approvals are at right now? I have been using http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?cfl= to have an idea. Is there something better or more detailed/accurate where I could be looking?
Thanks in advance! :D

I'm spying in the Feb filers lol
I don't use anything, cause my brain is too small to figure it out :P

Haha, ok we can share the throne of the smallbraininess :D

Uhm, nah, I just sneak in the Feb filers thread sometimes. I'm not looking on scans or whatever (they have as well), until they will start to touch March.
My timeline didn't move in the bad direction anymore, so it says week 26 for me.
I guess from week 24 on I will start freaking :D

I think it depends on the embassy. No copy of the petition makes sense because they do receive it anyway, as for the letter, I would check the embassy website.
