Hello fellow Canada lovers...

I just got off the pone with the NVC, and they received my case this morning. Yeah! I was told it could take two weeks to process. Is the two weeks the time they assign the case number and barcode, or will that be assigned separately? I didn't get a case number or barcode when I spoke to them this morning.

Thank you!

Congratulations!

Did the NVC call agent give your NVC# that starts with the letters "MTL"?  If so, you can use that number to check the CEAC website to see if your case status is set to "Ready":

https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Once its set to ready, you can download packet 3 on the Montreal Embassy website and start working on the packet 3 checklist:

 https://ca.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee/

The "barcode" number is assigned on your completed DS160 form.  Instructions on completing and submitting your DS160 online are in the packet 3 checklist.

If you did not yet receive your NVC# that starts with the letters "MTL", call the NVC again in the next few days and request it.  It may take a few days to generate your NVC# once received at the NVC.

Thank you for the information.  I just got off the phone with them and got my case number! So excited it's crazy! I tried the ceac sure, but I guess I'm a little early as it says it's an invalid number. They may not have put it in yet I'm guessing...i will try again tomorrow. I can't believe how quick things move once the NOA 2 was given! Thank you again!
