hi, on her green card it says resident since, 06/07/05, card expires, 6/07/07.

Thanks. Karim.

It looks to me like her PR status was coded incorrectly on the card, but that her record (in the computer) is correct--that's why the I-751 was sent back.

I would think that an infoPass appointment, with all of your paperwork, would be the best way to sort out the issue.

It is similar to the people who received the 10-year card incorrectly--even if the card is wrong, it is up to the immigrant to follow the correct rules.

I was also going to suggest they made an error on the card exp. date, now also the resident date (wow). Calling USCIS &/ Infopass appt. would be a very good idea. It sounds like it's correct in their system, which is why they've sent the I-751 back saying it's not necessary yet... and this is where filing the I-90 to replace her card with one with correct dates would come in (you wouldn't have to pay the fee with the mistake being on their end).

Good Luck!

hi, on her green card it says resident since, 06/07/05, card expires, 6/07/07.

Thanks. Karim.

90 days from July 6, 2007 is April 7, 2007.. I bet if you sent it in now, it wouldn't be rejected...

Good point!

I had checked my card and it is definitely Month/Day/Year.... My card says 3/24/17.....

In Canada they use Day/month/Year but the US uses Month/Day/Year

Yup, Marilyn is correct except for one thing - I'm willing to bet that her card said 03/24/07 and not 03/24/17, right Marilyn?

Or is that her ten year card? I got my passport renewed this week and it was so weird to see the expiration year 2017 on it. It just sounds so futuristic.
