we just found out my moms 10 year GC is expiring next week !

She needs to travel this may out of country (from US to Europe).

We have filled I90 extension online today and paid required fee.

My understanding is this :  next step is

1. mail letter from USCS confirming submitted application,

2. letter for fingerprints appoitment

3. wait for new GC

Am I right?

But our concern is what about her travel out of US this may ?

Do we need to go to USCS office and get passport stamp for travel?

If yes when we can go ? Do we need to wait for USCS letter of biometrics appointment to be done?

Or we can go now?

thank you

Just renew it. Because the card expires doesn't mean she goes out of status, however it could be trouble should she leave the country.

Why doesn't she just become a US citizen and be done with dealing with USCIS? She's clearly eligible.
