Ok, I have submitted my N-400 few days ago. I filed under 5 years of lawful resident. For some reason I was so focused on reading the general requirements that it slipped throughmy attention that I should have included 5 years back of irs transcript, I only had 3. Between reading uscis website and here, I'm afraid I screwed up! Will this put me on RFE or jeopardize my application ???

If filing under the 5-year rule, tax transcripts are required only if you "taken any trip outside the United States that lasted 6 months or more since becoming a Lawful Permanent Resident".

Then I guess I should be good. Been here for 10 yrs and never been outside United States. Thanks!

They said that under 5 yr rule you only have few documents needed to submit but I just chose to include what's on the checklist--N-400, fee, permanent resident card (front & back), irs transcript(3 yrs back), my kids b-certi., mortgage statement. Though not necessary anymore since it's not under 3 years of marriage I still included a copy of my husband's b-certi & our marriage certificate.
