ROC from Germany

Yeah I wanted to do the expedited citizenship also once we get there. But unfortunately from all the info I gathered it won't be possible for us. We leave may and my conditional green card expires in September. I read that my gc have to be still valid during citizenship process and I'm thinking it would expire by the time it gets approves. So we're doing roc instead also. OP- once we finish the process from Germany I can post here to explain how it all went.

Not true. Military spouses overseas don't have biometric appointments or interviews. When you're on post you can go to local immigration and naturalization advisor And they will tell you if you have to send biometric card with your roc petition and how to get it. 

Thank you  I was not aware. In that case, good luck with ROC. Hope it doesn't take half as long for you as it has me (December 2015 filer and STILL waiting!)

As long as you file for ROC, you'll get a one-year extension on your GC while ROC is processing. This will make it "valid" so you'll be able to do expedited naturalization. I'd start on that as soon as you arrive to Germany, then file ROC  as soon as you can. The two processes can run parallel.

I am ROC from Germany too and will be sending my package off within the next month and then hopefully citizenship under 319b.
