Hello all, hoping to receive some feedback on how to do ROC from Germany. We are still in AOS process right now but will be pcsing to Germany next year and will also be overseas for when the ROC is due. Can I do that from Germany? Or am I not able to remove conditions at all while we are in Germany.

I would appreciate some feedback so I know what is ahead of us :)
Thank you

ROC

how long will you be in Germany? Are you planning to move there permanently, or will you come back?

You may have to apply for a re-entry permit and there are limits on how long you can stay overseas

edit: sorry, I see it's military-related, there may be specific guidelines about that... I have no idea.

We will be stationed in Germany for 3 years and then pcs to our next duty station. I thought even if you are overseas since you are there on orders it would still count as if you were living in the US?

You can definitely do RoC from Germany while on orders! Of course, if you're on your spouse orders, you don't acquire any "away from US" days. :P

Check this thread, found it after quick google.

Also, I want to follow this thread since we are PCSing to Germany also and I'll be doing my RoC from there.

When and where are ya'll going to be stationed at? I'm still far out we don't leave here till mid of 2018 but just figured I would get some info to make sure I have all I need by then.

Hah, that's awesome! I'm from Poland, so at least the Europe won't be a strange place for me lol.

If I come up with any questions, I'll hit you up then. Thank you. :)

And good luck with your future roc!

Just to be aware... with the ROC they will require you to attend another biometric appointment at your local USCIS office... just something to keep in mind if your not going to be in the USA. This could pose a problem.

Not true. Military spouses overseas don't have biometric appointments or interviews. When you're on post you can go to local immigration and naturalization advisor And they will tell you if you have to send biometric card with your roc petition and how to get it.

I can't figure out how to make a quote from my phone but you can find this info here https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-751instr.pdf. under "exceptions".
