Hello,

is there a way to check if NVC received the case online instead if calling? I have been trying to contact them for the past 3 days but can't get through.

Thank you.

No, you have to call.  It's best to call within the first half hour of NVC work day.  I was able to speak with someone within 10 minutes most times.

Hi Dears,

well, there is no way to know unless you keep trying to call them. pay attention for that sometimes some cases take from 2 - 6 weeks to be transferred to the NVC. A little patient, we were in your shoes we can understand how it feels! Trust me everything will be alright!

All the best

Regards

Just like the above mentioned, you must call. Call around 2:00 pm -2:30 pm Egypt time (7:00 am - 7:30 am EST), also another good time to call is at their late night hours which is 6:00 am Egypt time (or 11:00 pm EST) NVC is open Monday thru Friday from 7:00 am EST to 12:00 am.  The worst times to call NVC is around their lunch hours  (7:00 PM - 9:30 PM Egypt time)

Also if your petition was just approved it can take up to 60 days for your petition to be transferred to NVC. But from what I've seen it usually takes about 20-30 days.

Good Luck on the rest of your immigration journey. :)

Hello,

it has been 2 weeks since our case was approved, is it to early to call NVC to see if they received the case?

Thank you.

In some cases, it takes 6 weeks! Dealing with immigration like you are trying to broadcast the weather be patient! You still have a long journey!

It only took them 10 days from when my case was approved online to issue a case number, so you can definitely start calling. But like what was mentioned above it can take up to 6 weeks! But I started hounding NVC 7 days after getting approved online and got lucky on the 10th day.

I have received my NOA2 for my K1- visa petition since Jan17th, 2016. I called NVC many times, they gave me a case number and told me that my case is still in AP. Right now, my petition is stuck at the NVC . Still waiting impatiently that my petition will be sent to the US embassy in Casablanca, Morocco. I am not sure if this delay has to do with Trump's recent executive order to ban some Muslim countries to enter the US . I have compared other timelines of people from other countries, the process at NVC is faster. Any Thoughts?

Hello Fromspace,

have you asked NVC the reason it's taken too long to send it to the embassy?

I asked them why it is taking so long. They did not say the reason why, except they keep saying it is in Administrative Processing (AP). By the way, I have a good news though, I checked today my case on line. It shows in Transit.

Good Luck
