I filed i130 and was recieved on March 15, 2017, my case is currently at Nebraska Service Center, I have not received anything. I am worried, currently shows that they are processing cases from November 2016 are they really taking 10 months? Are they getting slower? Sorry I am having a nervous breakdown. Oh forgot to mention I am a US citizen my husband lives outside the US and has never entered the country illegally. Thanks in advance.

I feel you. The Nebraska Service center is beyond frustrating and can cause a lot of stress. I believe just recently that they only processed about 16 days worth of petitions within the span of 2 months. They have gotten much much slower it seems. I just hope that they transfer some cases from January to some other centers. It's sad that we pay the same amount of money yet other centers process petitions much faster.

It took us over 8 months to get through USCIS. In total, it's been almost 13 months since we started this process and we are still awaiting approval from NVC....

Good luck and I hope your case moves forward quickly.

Wow are u still waiting? Was yours also at Nebraska? Thank you all for your response.

Yeah we're still waiting :(

Our file was sent to Nebraska unfortunately.

We originally sent our NVC package in June and got a checklist after 8 weeks :/ they wanted a different birth certificate. So we're now on week 5 of waiting for our second scan to be approved...

this experience has been incredibly frustrating and agonizing!

Hi Jacky U.

Im one of those unlucky people who also got stuck in hellbraska ... lol

I filed Nov 2016 and still at 293 days and not a word from them... This entire process is a emotional rollercoaster and there's nothing nice to say abt their processing except it SUCKS.

Keep yourself busy and learn to have patience as this is what you learn to have or you will go insane... God is in Control🙏🙏🙏
