Hi everyone,

I need your help please.

I am collecting documents for Marriage based Adjustment of status (from US). I am from Serbia and my parents sent me International form of the Birth certificate (Extract issued in pursuance of the convention signed at Vienna) that is available in my country but, now I am confused. It is written in French and Serbian with additional translation for 10 more languages on the second page(English included). Lawyer said I can ask some friend to translate that for me and certifies but we dont know what is enough. Only first page or both? We dont know what about that secong page because it is just translation already. You can see it attached.  Does anybody had this document too? What did you do? Official translation? But again first or both pages? Any advice is more than welcome.

I used that for both my AOS and K1 visa and had no issues whatsoever. What I did was alongside the original I sent in a photocopy of both sides (2 pages) and on the second page I used a highlighter on the English terms. Also mentioned it in the cover letter (Applicant's Birth Certificate and Photocopy highlighting the English terms). No RFEs. I'm now using the same technique for the K2 AOS I'll be sending out next week.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

Did you send two originals+copies (one for I-130 one for I-485)?

I was a K1 visa AOS - I didn't have a I-130, so I just sent it with the I-485.
