On website it still says at nvc. They won't change it until they send the file to embassy. I haven't gotten the email yet. I called them today. Maybe tomorrow I'll get the email.

But it said anyone with a legitimate tie to the US would be okay too, like school or a job or a relative. The only ones I can think of is visa lottery, like you mentioned, and I guess seeking refugee status maybe? The whole thing is shades of grey and very confusing!

What about applicants who are applying for a relative and have a green card? Are they able to bring them in?

Does anyone have info on how long cases are put under adminstrative processing after approval. It has been a month since my husband had his interview and was approved but his status still says AP. I know they are doing this to everyone now, even if they are approved but does anyone know how long after interview its taking visas to be issued to men?

Really sorry to hear that. I don't think anyone has an answer or has any idea what is going on. Look at YemenzQt, they issued a visa to her father while her mother is still waiting. It's hard to say but it can literally change overnight so hang in there. You're at the end, almost there.

Did they take his passport?

Have you tried contacting a congressman or senator?

I did. They just told them, we have to keep checking our case status online. They are constantly making things harder. Inshallah khayr, theres nothing we can do.
