Hi guys,

I have some questions, it would appreciated if you guys could help me.

1. My dad told me that my priority date is March 9, 2010 and it is current, so I'm elligible to apply for a green card, however, how do you or is there like a statement or notice from USCIS that states the priority date..? My dad said he forgot where he got that information from and but he is pretty sure that's my priority date for unmarried daughter of US citizen..

Also,

2. For I-864, if my dad does not make enough income. He only has my mom in his tax return, I'm allowed to use my income (let's say $28,000) I have my previous 3 years of W2 and tax returns, and my assest from my saving, which is (let's say $68,000). Would that be enough or I need to find a joint sponsor?

Thank you so much!

Priority dates are found on the approval notices of approved petition for the family member in question.

Also, your income is enough. If you google i-864p you will find a link to the uscis website with the PDF containing present poverty lines depending on household size.

Is it possible to request the approval notice from USCIS from many years ago? I'm not sure if my dad still has it. Should I just call their customer service or visit one of their office? Thank you!!

Well I think there's a pretty large fee for a new approval notice, but perhaps there is a way to find out the priority date by contacting them. Good luck :)

You're so fast! Thanks!! :)

That's because I need to attach the copy to my application. That's why. My lawyer has a copy, but since I won't be using her service. I'm not sure if it's appropriate to ask her.

If you don't mind me asking more question.

1. Since I will be filing I-485, the application's fees for a travel document and employment permit will be waived... Do I have to file all of them together or file them separately?

2. I live in a Louisiana, I'll be filing as a granted asylum with my US Citizenship as a sponsor...So, technically I'm category F1. Where would I file my I-485?

Chicago Lockbox or Dallas?

Thanks again!!

It's most convenient to file them together but if you want you can file them separately. If you do you'll have to include a copy of the NOA1 from the i-485 with the i-131 and -765 applications in order to waive the fee.
