Hi, I came in the States in May 2016 on K-1 visa, got married in June and apply for AOS in July. I received my 2 years green card on Jan 17 and now planning to invite my parents on our 1st wedding anniversary as they could not come to my wedding last year.

I started full time job and looking to make annual 70K plus salary. I will be extremely thankful if anyone can help to understand where I need to start from and what documents do I need to send them invitation and how long the visa process takes, how much funds do I or my parents have to show to get approved for the visiting visa and which visa category they need to apply for. Thanks in advance

Visitor visas are hard to get but worth a try and if you want an immigrant visa for your parents then you have to be a U.S Citizen to apply for an immigrant visa.
B-2 Visas are for Visitors, you can go to USCIS website and you can find it out what would you need. but chances are very low.

Mods pls move this to the Tourist Visa sub-forum.

OP, certain LPRs believe a GC status somehow offers their relatives an edge towards a B2 visa. That is not true. Your GC or job does not have an effect on your parents' eligibility for a visitor visa. Your parents' ties to their country, ties that makes them want to get back home once the US visit is over.

Check out this link about the B2 process from pakistan. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/pk/pk-niv-typeb1b2.asp

Do they have strong ties to their country?

Do they own property?

Do they own a business?

Can they show money in the bank, with regular deposits over a long period of time?  Not one or several big deposits shortly before applying for the tourist visa.

If the answer is no to all, then getting a visa will be very slim.  If they are older (>65), it may be a little easier, but still a longshot.

Unfortunately, tourist visas from poor countries are hard to get, and with family in the US and no real ties to home country makes it slim to almost 0 chance.

I will consider immigrant visa once I become U.S Citizen, but I have to wait three years for that! does immigrant visa has higher approval rate than B-2 visa?

yes immigrants visas are likely to be approved within a year when you become Citizen while Visitor visas are very highly unlikely to be approved. my bro did that too.

I believe there is big chance they will get approved as,

they do have strong tires to Pakistan, two of mine siblings still live there

Yes they do have a house

They run business too

And my dad is showing money in the bank but I am not sure what is the good amount of money to show they are financially strong?

Both are above 60 years but under 65. they travel to Amsterdam (Developed country and strict with Tourist visa like USA ) last year to visit my brother and returned back home so that tells they will go back this time too.

I am just at the initial stage and trying to get everything right so they can get approve

They are over 60 so I do not think we are talking about toddlers.

even wil small children people leave them behind all the time.
