SAVE Showing Incorrect Status, please help!

Hi all, am really hoping someone on here might be able to help, getting desperate. The short story is I was admitted on an L1, but my I-94 was mistakenly logged at a B-1 entry. I managed to fix my I-94 record with a quick revisit to CBP, but can't get USCIS SAVE system to update my status.

Here's the details below:

2016.12.17 - Admitted on an L-1 visa, issued by CBP at the Pre-Clearance POE in Canada.

2016.12.19 - Go to SSA Office to apply for SSN, get a receipt. Got a vague response that the verification wasn't working, it was shrugged off as being too recent an entry, so the agent said he'd have to mail it off and that it'd be about 4 weeks to get the SSN. We wait, and then find out in mid-Jan that my I-94 is showing me admitted on a B-1 status valid for six months (but L-1 was written into my passport, valid for 3 years).

2017.01.24 - After a visit to CBP at a nearby airport POE with all my L-1 petition documents, my I-94 is now corrected, showing an L-1 status and admitted as of Dec. 17th. I can see this online.

2017.01.26 - Revisit the same SSA office, this time with a printout of my I-94. They start a whole new app (I get a new receipt number for SSN app, also subsequently notice they spelled my name wrong on this one).

2017.02.08 - SAVE Check says Verification status (requested 1/26) says returned to agency.

2017.02.09 - Return to SSA office, am told the report was unable to verify my status. They ping the SAVE system again, this time with my name corrected.  SAVE Verification Request # generated.

2017.02.13 - Return to SSA office after SAVE says returned to agency, but it's still showing up as B-1 status. A supervisor snail-mailed photocopies of my Passport, Visa, and I-94 to SAVE, along with a G-845 Request, and tells me to check back in a couple weeks.

2017.03.02 - Return to SSA office, SAVE still tells SSA that I'm on a B-1. The online SAVE CaseCheck system doesn't acknowledge that a request was made, still just shows the attempt returned Feb. 9th. Am told to wait another 4-8 weeks, but they clearly are just guessing.

Am feeling pretty hopeless. I went to my Congress person's office in person on Feb. 2nd and have followed up with them but they tell me that USCIS isn't getting back to them. I've called USCIS and been escalated up to an Immigration Officer but I never get the call back.

If my status shows up correctly on the I-94 system, how can I force the SAVE system to register that? I don't need to tell you all how rough this has been.

Is this saga ever going to end? I haven't found anyone on the forums with the same situation, the threads I found were all mis-matched names.
