Hello all,

Can you guys please help me out?  I'm trying to determine if I need these 2 documents when submitting applications for K1

1.  Do I need to send my tax returns and/or fill out the support form, please let me know what form it is.

2.  Do I need to send the naturalization certificate with the application?  I am sending along copies of all pages of my passport already.

Please help!!

Thank you

1. You don't need them for the i-129f. The beneficiary will need them for the K-1.

2. Take a copy and send it with the i-129f.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021

Thank you for the reply guys.

The only problem is, I've misplaced my Naturalization Certificate somewhere and I can't seem to find it.  By not having it and only have the U.S. Passport sent along with the application, will that be ok?

I believe the I-129f petition asks for a copy of Certificate of Naturalization (item 5b on the instructions sheet), but it also says that you can submit a copy of your valid, unexpired U.S. Passport in lieu of the certificate. Copy must contain all pages (item 5d on the instructions sheet).

I would also suggest filing form N-565 to get a replacement copy of the Certificate of Naturalization. It takes about 5-6 months to get one so file now and you can submit a copy at time of interview (or if they get picky and want a copy of the Certificate).
