Hi, thank you for your response. I've been reading here and there about that RFE because I got an RFE for my I-485 for tax papers and we never send it back yet coz we are waiting for it to get done. Until now I never heard from USCIS about my EAD yet, I am really hoping and praying that my EAD is on going/processing even though we didn't mail our RFE yet and I hope I hear from USCIS soon. O

Often they stop all processing while they wait for the RFE. Hopefully you will hear something soon.

Hi

I think Georgia16  is right. When u get RFEthey dont process your case. but once u send the response of RFE they immediately start working on it . hope u ll send all the papers what they need and hear good news abt ur EAD soon.  Good Luck !!!

immediately?

I would doubt that it is far more likely the case and the response get thrown in another pile and is worked on when they get to it. I watched my case status say received response to rfe for 4 months.

I have a question, I applied for EAD and AOS for both my wife and son.  Do they approve each EAD application independently ? or my wife has to get approved for EAD first before my son does ?

They are approved independently.
