Guys, remember to think in terms of working days vs. just number of days. For the people whose packages were delivered Friday particularly, it's pretty normal that it'll take a couple more days because they're not working on the weekends and your petition won't see any activity until maybe Monday. My package (and someone else's above) was delivered on a Tuesday, so they had 4 working days to process and I saw some activity Friday. (They put the NOA1 in the mail Friday, and I received it Monday.)

@ivanalex1980 Regarding biometrics, again, if you take a look at the February thread it's way too early for someone with a February 27 date (and anyone with a March date) to receive a biometrics letter and this is nothing to worry about. It's going to take longer than that. They're processing around February 20. Let's be a little more patient. You're not going to see answers any different from the February thread by asking in the March one.

I mailed it in the afternoon on Thursday, March 9th but didn't request signature as I didn't know you could do that. So, I guess I'm not sure if it has been delivered or not. Check still hasn't been cashed. Will likely give them a call tomorrow just to make sure it was at least received. Is there a specific number to call for the I-751 or is it just the standard 1 (800) 375-5283 USCIS phone number? Thanks for the help!

Delivered
Your item was delivered at 11:21 am on March 9, 2017 in LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92607 to INS EXPRESS MAIL. The item was signed for by L ACOSTA.

I just gave the NOA one year extension to the HR lady at my work (I received an email saying that GC expires soon), she didn't seem satisfied with it and asked to see more proof of employment authorization. I explained the process to her, and that it's all I have during the wait,  but she was very skeptical and said that she'd look into it...I'm sure it will be ok,but still the USCIS should have a better way of handling this process without having an expired card at all. Or HR people should be trained better

Don't expect employers to understand it, for some reason my employer thinks he's sponsoring my "visa" even though I have a green card through marriage and no one at work has had to deal with a single piece of paperwork related it to. You can thank the general ignorance of the population on immigration issues for that - after all its how we ended up with Trump.

Yeah, not even considering overseas travel, I'm not looking forward to having to prove my status this year for this exact reason. People who haven't had any contact with immigration are VERY ignorant about it. I mean I understand it doesn't concern them, but my USC friends seem to think I just sent a piece of paper saying I was married to a USC and a green card just materialized in my mailbox a week later. They have no idea what the process is like, how long it takes, how much it costs, or why I'm not a citizen. ROC is even more obscure. I told a USC friend that I had to spend this year with an expired green card plus a piece of paper that said it was technically not expired and she thought I did something wrong because that must not be the actual process.

At the very least they should have the updated date of expiration clearly written on the letter, and include the NOA on the list of documents acceptable for the i9

those are some simple solutions to this I think
