Yeah, you would need to bring your expired passport, expire GC and 4 passport photos. They will give you the I-551 few weeks before your GC expiration.

Good evening everyone

I filled in March 2017 in California thus obviously my extension is going to be expired soon and I have to get my passport stamped.

I am not able to find an appointment for infopass so I am going to do a walk in.

From your own experience is it better to do that early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Is there a good time to bug the agents?

Thank you for your inputs

Hi, try to look for infopass appointment at midnight or early morning.  They might entertain you and give you an I-551 stamp if you have a valid reason or need the stamp because of an emergency or an urgent traveling. Try your luck.

For those unsure, it looks like our I-751 will continue processing during government shutdown. https://www.natlawreview.com/article/government-shutdown-impact-immigration-processes

That's as clear of info as I can find.

They should continue processing the application because it's fee funded government so it shouldn't be affected at all by the government shutdown.

Hi All,

Has anyone Filed their N-400 as yet? It looks like the ROC will run into 2019, so why not get the Citizenship Ball rolling if i can.

If the USCIS processing times are showing as of today "Field Office Processing Dates for California Service Center as of: October 31, 2017...August 20, 2016", how are you getting 2019? VSC customers are getting faster responses than CSC.

Even if they have slowed down in the last few months, most everyone should have some sort of response before October of 2018.

I think some are confusing the "Last Updated" information (shown on the bottom right) on the web page as the date the USCIS agents are working on the application dates shown. The actual data period measured is shown above the chart. The information is lagging about a little over 2 months. It is currently showing information as of month's end 10/31/17 which was posted on 1/5/18.

If CSC agents achieve a pace of one months' applications during November and also December, then the 12/31/17 report to be posted on/around 3/5/18 will indicate that they were working on applications up to about October 20th, 2016 (approximately) as of the information compiled on 12/31/17 that isn't posted for public until 3/5/18.

After the Title "USCIS Processing Time Information for the California Service Center" the page has the subtitles "How To Use the Chart" and "Important Information About Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization".

Then, right above the black bar that identifies the columns "Form", "Title", "Classification or Basis for Filing" and "Processing Cases As Of Date:", there is a notification in small bold letters "Field Office Processing Dates for California Service Center as of:"
