I'm experiencing the same. I filed March 2017, and received a NOA/ Receipt # on the same month. Until now I haven't received any biometrics appointment letter. I was so worried but when I called USCIS, they just said that they're still processing the JUNE 2016 applicants! so I should not worry.

But dang! that's a long time of waiting. :)

here's a link to their Processing time information that I keep on checking

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do;jsessionid=bacXD1OC9RCyFagQNRyeu

And I guess they're still processing the June 2016 filers.

Anyway, my field office is in Portland, OR, and California for my Service Center.

Anyone, who belongs to these offices, let's give each other an update :)

Goodluck to all of us!

Hi,

You should receive the Biometrics in about 30d after your NOA-1.

I had the same issue, and they said it was indeed overdue. They then file a case with the Service Center your case is at, who then will respond in about 30d.

So yes, call again, explain that the Biometrics Appointment letter should have arrived in about 30d, and that it did not, and that they should open a case for you.

After that phone call, in my case, about 3w later I got the letter in the mail.

Also in Portland OR - I was scheduled for my biometrics within two weeks from sending the application. Your situation is unusual.

Seeing that most of us here probably arrived May-June of 2015, and it'll be three years total before 10yr GC arrives. At what point should we start the citizenship procedure, can it be started before receiving the GC?

5/1/2014: I-130 Sent (Nebraska Service Center)

5/23/2015: US Entry :jest:

3/1/2017: Filed i-751 (California Service Center,  transferred to National Benefits Center on 3/13/2018)

2/23/2018: Filed N-400 online at Chicago, IL

An update to my case:

I went to the field office and talked to 2 representatives about my late biometrics appointment (4 months of waiting, btw). The first representative said that it is possible for an applicant not to be called/scheduled for a biometric, but to be sure about my case, they searched more about it. I was moved to the 2nd rep and there he told me that I was scheduled March 30th, which is 20 days after I got my NOA. But like I said in my first post, I never received any invitation from them. So they got my address and phone number and told me they will reschedule me. And just yesterday, I got my biometrics appointment. YAY! which will be on 8th of AUG. which I think will prolong the process. SIGH*

but anyway, I felt relieved and happy about how quick the reps of USCIS acted on it. I just wanted to remind people who have the SAME SITUATION to GO to your USCIS field office. Do not call them anymore. I mean it's nice to do it in your own convenience but sometimes calling them won't give you the answer. Also, I want to say Thanks to the people who pushed me to go. :)  GOOD luck to all of us!

Nothing new from my side until this point. I also contacted USCIS last week to inquire about any update on my case. The helpline representative gave me the information i alreday have. We March-2017 filers should expect any development in our cases by next year beginning. Regards

hi,

We got the same reply from USCIS when I called. Did you not get a biometrics schedule? If so,

I just want to know if you get an info pass and schedule an appointment to ask your case. :)

I had my biometrics scheduled right away. That's been done for quite some time.

Sooooooo ... let's say you misplace the renewal letter you're supposed to carry with you. Anyone ever try getting a replacement copy?
