@SanVirk You should call them to check if they sent you biometrics appointment letter. That's way too long already, the rule is, you should get the biometrics letter 30 days after you got your NOA.

I haven't received mine either. Planning to call some time this week to see what's up.

So should I call USCIS or just set up an InfoPass at my local USCIS location?

Deciding I should chime in here.... started the process for the removal of conditions in March 28th or so. Received my confirmation very quickly (like 5 days after they received it), which gave me hope for the process moving quickly. Fingerprinting done April 20th, which again struck me as quick. I'm just hoping that I'll have my Green Card by next May, I have a friend's wedding to visit abroad...

My 2-year card just expired... so... the 10-year can't come soon enough. Question regarding that - am I required to carry the i-797 indicating my status has been extended on my person like a green card? Or a copy of it? Or is it not needed at all?

Thanks!

AOS:

NOA: June 16th, 2014

NPIW: September 29th, 2014

Received Green Card: June 13th, 2015.

RoC:

California Service Center

Submitted: March 22nd, 2017

Completed: October 5th, 2018

N-400:

Submitted: December 11th, 2019

Biometrics: December 31st, 2019

Interview: April 22nd, 2020

Interview descheduled and now waiting for further updates...

You need it for travel, for sure. I have a scanned copy on cloud storage, just in case, which I can access from my phone.

I don't think you need it on your person at all times though.

FYI Everyone. I did call USCIS on June 5th. I first spoke with the USICS call center and they recommended that I speak with a Case Officer. The officer informed me that my Bio-metric appointment was on the 5th of May. So I informed them that I didn't receive anything, I was told to wait till the 22nd of June and I should receive a new one by then but here we are it's the 21st and still nothing.

@Zcomuto I went to Europe for a couple of weeks and just got back (GC expired on 6/12/2017), the Immigration officer mentioned that need to carry a copy of the I-751 receipt notice when you enter or exit the country.

Hi Everyone,

My husband and I have government orders and will be leaving the country. I found out from USCIS Honolulu (an InfoPass location) that I should get a stamp in my passport (and I'm carrying a copy of the I-751 receipt). But since I asked a few months ahead of leaving in September, USCIS advised me to get the stamp much closer to September because the one year validity of the stamp starts the moment it's stamped in my passport. This might be helpful information for anyone who needs to be out of the country for a longer period of time.

It is going to be a long wait. I just got off the phone with CIS and the agent told me they are currently processing applications dated June 9, 2016.

Hi guys,

A little motivation for all of us:

As it is the first of July today this means that all of us are in between 3 and 4 months into the process.

Even though the waiting time seems to be increasing and is not equal between Vermont and California, I think we can say that for most of us we are in between 25% and 33% done with the process !!!!

Keep up the faith. :-)

I had to call in because I had not received my Biometrics. Call went through relatively quickly (unlike the old days, when calling for the actual visa), and the lady filed a case for me. Based on where your case is processed (Vermont or California), they send the case there. You should hear something within 30d.

And indeed, after about 3 weeks or so, I got my biometrics letter and a case letter (as in, the case of the missing letter). Going in on Wednesday :)

Too bad it's gonna take forever to get the actual RoC done... seems like it'll be April / May of 2018, which includes having to go to USCIS again via InfoPoint to get an extra extension :(

I'm experiencing the same. I filed March 2017, and received a NOA/ Receipt # on the same month. Until now I haven't received any biometrics appointment letter. I was so worried but when I called USCIS, they just said that they're still processing the JUNE 2016 applicants! so I should not worry.

But dang! that's a long time of waiting. :)

here's a link to their Processing time information that I keep on checking

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do;jsessionid=bacXD1OC9RCyFagQNRyeu

And I guess they're still processing the June 2016 filers.

Anyway, my field office is in Portland, OR, and California for my Service Center.

Anyone, who belongs to these offices, let's give each other an update :)

Goodluck to all of us!

Hi, the waiting is longer then expected. As you said that you didn't recieve your biometrics appointment letter you need to call the helpline or schedule an infopass apointment as soon as possible. Your case would not move forward without biomerics appointment known as ASC. I got mine with in 10 days. I am Portland, OR too and let's hope for the best. Regards

I already called but I received a generic answer. I might give the info pass appointment a try. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

hi,

We got the same reply from USCIS when I called. Did you not get a biometrics schedule? If so,

I just want to know if you get an info pass and schedule an appointment to ask your case. :)
