I did check my case online and all it shows is "case received". My biometrics were done about 3 weeks ago and nothing changed.

Wow...at least they should changed to biometrics received or something... just wait right??

My wife just completed her biometrics appointment at the Buena Park Application Support Center (CA).  Appointment was scheduled for 10 a.m. and we walked in about 8 minutes early.  There was a significant wait but we got out about 11 a.m.  I guess they are a little slower in CA.

Just to explain it to you guys about the online status. When your biometroics is done your status online is not going to change untill you get RFE letter, Interview letter and GC approval notice. Based on my reserach the standard or normal processing time for the condition to be removed on GC is 6 months to 1 year. It might take more then a year, it all depends on the case.

And even sometimes your status won't change even when you get a RFE or interview or it gets approved. My mom did the lifting condition process and she got approved 2 months ago after a long wait. She got a RFE and then an interview and her status never changed and then got her green card 2 weeks after the interview and it didn't change to approved either ...so for this type of process I won't count that much on the online status thing

Yes it could happen you are right but mostly they do update the status. In some instances they update case status not on time just like your mom.

Her case was a mess because of her lawyer who didn't take it seriously when her case passed the normal process time ...I kept telling her to make an info pass and whatever but she kept telling me that her lawyer kept telling her everything was normal ...it had been about 18 months when she got the RFE and they asked for everything all over again, like she had to send the initial package again just with new dates ...then she finally got notice for interview and we were all freaking out and her piece of cr**p lawyer didn't care and said that's what's happening now for most people 🙄🙄🙄🙄 ...the officer who interview her ended up a really nice one and she told my mom and my step dad that they just wanted to verified that everything was still the same since so much time has passed since the beginning of the process ...but I seriously blame it on the lawyer and my mom for not listening to me when I told her so many times that her case was taking way too long. She kept telling me that the lawyer knew best and I kept saying "nope, visa journey knows best" lol

Nice, i hope we all don't have to wait a lot :) What do you mean by the guy sending the receipt, Thanks.

What receipt??

He said I'd get a receipt/notice that the appointment was done in around two weeks. I didn't really question further what else it entailed.

At the end of my journey!
