It's been mention before, but there seem to be a few from around that time/weekend where there's a bit of delay. You have proof you've sent it in. Try not to stress. You can call them after 30 days to chase it up.

You should all be fine.

Mine actually arrived a day late, thanks to the USPS issues. It took 4 days instead of 2 to get there.

My husband sent the package 3/27. According to the USPS tracking number it was delivered 3/29. We also received the green slip from USPS with USCIS stamp on it last week but the check still hasn't been cashed. Now we're getting really nervous because my husband's green card will be expiring next week. :(

Mine also arrived at CSC on 3/29/17 at 10:06 in the morning according to the USPS tracking system.  I had USPS e-mail me the delivery confirmation just in case.  I called the USCIS call center and the greeting said that I have to be the applicant, the petitioner or the attorney of record for them to speak to me.  When a live representative came on the line they said that they can't speak to me without my wife (applicant) present, even though I am the spouse petitioner.  They said that there are no reported delays at CSC and that activity regarding the receipt and cashing of the check would be within 15-30 days.  I guess some others are just very fortunate to have their checks cashed within three or four days compared to some others.

On what date did your check get cashed?  If yours was cashed before today, then you already had evidence of activity on your application and some peace of mind that they were getting ready to send the NOA.  Did you get an e-mail announcing that the NOA would arrive soon?  Our check hasn't been cashed yet and we have not received any e-mail or NOA.

I never sent a check, I sent a Money Order and unfortunately I didn't sign up for email alerts. I had no idea you could do that when I sent in all the information. Sorry I'm not more help! :(

I started a new job like a month ago and just brought the NOA 1 to my employer and they did  not even need it, they use the e-verify tool to check for eligibility to work.

I scanned the letter for them, they did not accept it. They did the E-Verify thing. And now I have this Tentative Nonconfirmation. I swear, I'm so close to losing it... I don't know what to do now. I just got the email, I tried calling the number but they're closed. I'll have to ask my employer tomorrow and call again.

It actually just arrived in the mail today. Appointment date is 4/18.

I just checked your dates on the spreadsheet though, and because we got our NOA1s the same date, but you sent yours earlier, I really wouldn't worry. I'd guess you'll get yours tomorrow or Monday, because it seems to be a little slower for whatever reason. I'm sorry though, I know it's stressful.

Thank You for the response :)

Anyone else having issues with the case tracking? I sent in my wife's documents a month ago, received NOA on 3/27/17 and biometrics appointment on 4/8, but still my receipt number is getting an "invalid" kickback from the USCIS site.

Please use the number that appears on your biometrics appointment letter, not the NOA, and it will be found on the USCIS site.

Conditional Permanent Resident card expires Monday, April 24, 2017 (for my wife)

  • 90-day window opens Tuesday, January 24, 2017
  • Removal of Conditions I-751 packet dropped off at postal counter on Tuesday, March 28, 2017
  • USPS Tracking indicates that package was delivered on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the California Service Center in Laguna Niguel
  • Now watching for activity on my checking account to determine when filing fee and biometric fee are processed, and waiting for the NOA granting a one-year extension during the processing period

I am happy to report that today the funds by check are pending withdrawal from my checking account by USCIS!!!  :D:jest:

Thank you to all who helped answer my questions and concerns!

Events: Wife’s Conditional Permanent Resident card expiration Monday, April 24, 2017

  • 90-day window opened Tuesday, January 24, 2017.

  • Removal of Conditions I-751 packet dropped off at postal counter on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

  • USPS Tracking indicates that package was delivered on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 10:06 a.m. at the California Service Center in Laguna Niguel.

  • Now watching for activity on my checking account to determine when filing fee and biometric fee are processed, and waiting for the NOA granting a one-year extension during the processing period.

  • Called USCIS on April 10, 2017 to request status of application and whether it was received, and the representative said they won’t be able to investigate until 30 days have passed.

  • USCIS cashed check on April 11, 2017 (pending on account).

I wanted to add some valuable information about the significance of USCIS cashing of the check.  This is what the USCIS website says about the Lockbox Intake Processing:

Submitting Your Application Package

  • The Lockbox service provider will assemble each application in the package in the correct processing order before it is scanned; however, we recommend customers assemble their packages in the following order:
  • Check or money order.
  • Form G-1145, Request for e-Notification (if applicable),
  • Form G-28 (if applicable).
  • Form being filed.
  • Supporting documentation.

Rejections

  • Your application will be rejected if it is not filled out completely and does not include correct signatures and the correct fee.
  • In fiscal year 2014, the Lockbox facilities processed over 7.7 million applications and rejected about 8 percent of the applications received. The most common rejection reasons are that the applications were not signed or the correct fees were not enclosed.
  • The Lockbox facilities accept applications with information that is deemed critical to acceptance of the application. This information is critical because it is used to process our business rules, such as reasons for filing or eligibility categories, and/or it is required by USCIS case management systems.

Therefore, if you have enough information to continue the process and have the application reviewed over the course of the upcoming months, they cash your check as a result.  They do not cash your check if your application is deemed incomplete.
