Question for those with knowledge.

I was approved for the 10 year green card, putting on the application that my residence is in South Carolina (where I work), but my mailing address is in Ohio with my husband (where I am for the summer). They sent my green card to South Carolina! Ugh. We're planning a trip to Canada next week and the odds of me going back down SC for the green card are nil - can I travel on the i551 stamp I got in June?

Question - has anyone been approved from this group that their case was transferred out of CSC and into a local office?  Not TSC/NSC/etc.

Yes, I was transferred to local office in February, got approved on July 26th and received my actual Green Card on August 3rd

Quick question to those that are seeing approvals and getting their cards generated. Are you seeing these updates on the uscis website under "check case status" or is this on their app or online accounts that you guys have setup? Once you see the approval on the app/onlince account are you also seeing the same message on the regular uscis website as well or is that one not updated as often?

They come up on the different platforms at different times - I got my approval letter and it never updated on the website (I was checking it every day) and I didn't get a text or email so the letter was a shock. Then I got a text and email a couple of days later saying my card was being produced but it  took a day for the website to update after that, then my card arrived 2 days later.

I have a letter incoming in the mail from USCIS, dated 08/03/18 from Lincoln, NE.  Looks like a NOA or something similar. Will know more when it arrives this afternoon.

I cant' see the statue of liberty on mine, potato photo from USPS, but nothing showing on any of the websites. Fingers crossed its something positive.

Similar letter just arrived from NSC, transferred from CSC.  If presented with the expired green card (which ours was taken from us when we get the i-551 stamp so who knows), it is an 18-month extension to work and travel.   No statue of liberty present on mine.  I'm not up-to-date on the secret codes of the USCIS.  Bad omen or just random?

So they have basically sent us a useless piece of paper (My green card was taken off me when I got the 1551 stamp too, and I had a LOT of trouble in Auckland international airport trying to use use the stamp, when they wanted a letter like this). Thanks, USCIS for being as useless as ever.

Mine turned out to be an extension letter.

My NOA is 3/27 and yours was 4/10 and you already have your card on hand?  Lucky.

Very lucky - it all happened really quickly, one minute i was just in wait mode, and the next my approval letter and card arrive within a week of each other - fingers crossed yours goes that way soon!
