Hi all - this is just an update, as I just got back from an Infopass appointment at the St Louis field office.

I went to have a stamp put in my passport as my extension letter ended this week. The woman who did the stamp for me, told me my case was still in CSC, and that the info on the system that 'my case has been moved to a field office', was basically immigration speak for, we moved it to a different room in the CSC. She also confirmed that the wait time for this now is at 42 months, I'm an April 2017 filer so she said I would most likely have to see her again next year for another extension stamp.

just an estimate, i dont think we should pay too much attention to it, i could turn out to be more or less, there isnt much we can do

Hi there, it's a big fat lie by the IO. Honestly speaking on many occasions they are simply clueless or they don't want to share anything truthful. I had my infopass appointment 2 weeks ago and the IO was a pretty cool dude. I asked him what is the status of my 2 pending cases. He took a minute checked his system and told me that they are at NBC and you interview will be scheduled in 6 months. Guess what happened? next day my interview was scheduled

did you ever received a mail stating that it was transferred?

USCIS has been playing our feelings for quiet some time already. When I had my infopass appointment the lady who stamped my passport told me that i shouldn't have filed for n400 because if my ROC will "still" not be processed in a year it will make my n400 case sit for a year and USCIS will close the case. That means I have to file it again in order to become a citizen (which also means i have to pay the fees AGAIN). Its frustrating coz its not our fault that they're having a really bad backlog and the 3year rule for citizenship is our privilege and right from all our hardwork on making our status legal not to mention the $$ we paid everytime we work on our papers.

I've got this notice from USPS this morning... My case was already transferred to NE center on May 10. Could it be just the address change I filed online last week? LOL

I don’t think that’s Uscis related

No mail, just an case update on the website in February, along with a lot of other people. I honestly don't think USCIS has processes for what is going on now, and are just having to feel their way through things. They have never had to consider what to do if an extension letter runs out, as it was never an issue before, and have never had to consider what happens when timings affect the applications. I'm not saying what is happening is right, but I do recognize that their workload has changed significantly over the past year or so and no one seems to be supporting them with getting their processes updated - instead they are having them hire people to staff on office whose sole purpose is to denaturalize 1000's of citizens, rather than staffing the offices that deal with those of going the other way.

Well.. I am giving an update on my case here.

March 3 CSC I-751 filer. Did not file N-400.

February 26: An update on "We received your case"

June 19: Another update on "We transferred your case to another USCIS office for processing" I then received an actual letter stating that "case transferred from California to Texas service center"

So, How long will it take?

I have searched similar cases that is transferred to Texas with no N-400 application. One took about a month and another took about 3 months....Great, Right!?
