Hey guys I have a question. So This is my online status, as you can see it says if I didn't receive my GC by april 27th I need to do a e-request.  But I also got a letter in the mail about my approval and there it says if I don't receive it within 60 days I need to contact them. What do you guys recommend?  USCIS.. <_<

I would say file an E-request now since the websites say it. Hopefully, everything will work out for you, regards.

Yeah I guess it wouldn't hurt. But at the e-request page it says this :P

Non-Delivery of Card

Do you have a case with USCIS and you have not received a card that was mailed? When a benefit is granted or the replacement/renewal of a current card is approved, the card is generated and mailed. Unfortunately, sometimes the card is not received. You can create an inquiry with USCIS when you did not receive a card that was mailed.

NOTE: Do not submit a request if you have just recently been approved, allow approximately 120 days to receive your new card. You can check the status of your case using the My Case Status Tool. If Case Status Online indicates that the card was mailed, you should be provided with a United States Postal Service tracking number.

Then you would need to call the helpline and they will be able to tell you if the card is sent to you.

We also got the notice that our case was moved to another office that has jurisdiction over our case.  Here are some of the things we have done already for the case:

1.  Sent in ROC (CSC) March 2017.

2.  Filed for n400 March 2018.

3.  Had biometrics for n400 with combined INFOpass appointment to get I 551 stamp.

4.  Received notice on May 1 that the I 751 has been transferred to an office that now has jurisdiction over our case.

It will be interesting to see how this moves...

Hi! what did you bring on your infopass appointment to get i-551 stamp? Did they ever get your expired greencard? TIA

You should bring as much documentation - bring your green card, your extension letter, if you have your approval, etc. Bring a photo id (passport and drivers license). They will destroy your green card and extension letter once they give you the stamp!

Good morning

My GC expired on 05/27/2017 hence my extension is about to expire in 24 days.

I am in SLC and it is impossible to book an apointment on infopass so I went there this morning at 7.15  for the I-551 stamp and they told me I could see anyone that I needed a valid reason to for the stamp.

I told them my status will expire soon and I just want to get the stamp to be clear with my job and if I need to travel abroad. It was not enough for them apparently, I need to bring a letter from my job saying that they will fire me if I don't get my stamp (that sounds so weird I know). They were polite but no way for me to get in. They told me to book an appointment online.

It was just the officer at the entrance not the actual agents.

I will tried to book an apointment there otherwise just travel to another city on the 05/26...

Anyway I do not know how are your offices where you are going but be mindful and be prepared. Good luck!

Actually, the appointment letter tells you exactly what to bring.

But it's

* the actual appointment

* Your passport (Not just your US driver's license!)

* Greencard

* Extension letter

My letter and GC were not taken.

You may get a 6 month extension or a 1 year extension.

My husband went to the infopass appointment.  I know he took his green card, extension letter, biometrics letter (for the n400), passport, and driver's license.  The officer took his green card and cut it up.  He told my husband that it wasn't needed anymore.  My husband's biometrics appointment was the next day, so they allowed him to get his fingerprints done early.   We filed our n400 online, so I think that is why it has information about it being transferred.  Some people here are saying they are joining the n400 with the I 751, so he will have a combined appointment.

We had another update today saying it was transferred again...two days later than the last notification.  It makes me happy that things are moving.

Yeah, I also got another status message today but it's the same I got 2 days ago. I wonder if it is a glitch or happened practically. We just have to wait for the letter from USCIS. If anyone gets a notice by mail means the transfer was authentic otherwise just ignore it.

Sorry to hear that. I want to share my experience traveling with the NOA letter.

My 2-year green card expired 07/2017 and my NOA was dated 04/11/2018. I thought the extension is from 07/2017 - 07/2018.

This Monday, I came back from a short trip, in JFK, I was being yelled at that my “extension has expired” because the letter was dated 04/11/2017, and the extension is based on that date.

Luckily my case was approved while I was traveling, and I had my husband scan the approval letter and emailed it to me, AND I PRINTED IT OUT AND BRING IT WITB ME.

I was taken to the “small room” for them to check for my status, and was able to be cleared and go home to my husband.

But I know lots people say that the extension should be based on the green card. And the NOA letter was not clear about it. I feel like it’s luck...depends on the officer who checks your docs at the airport.

Anyways, really, don’t travel without your documents that’s definitely valid in any way...
