To those of you who had to change their address: is it enough to change your address at https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do or do I also have to copy form AR-11 and mail it to the address on the form?

Doing it online would be enough as long as you will receive an email confirmation with receipt number. Keep that email for your reference.

Also your US citizen spouse need to file I-865.

Your sponsor will also need to file if they moved if they are not your spouse.. (which was the case with us). Also when I did my info pass, they told me that even though I did the AR-11 that only changed my address for the removal of conditions, but not my orignal greencard.  So I updated it in the system when with them at the USCIS office... strangely though there doesn't seem to be a straightforward way of doing it otherwise.  It really is a convoluted system that is very inefficient!

So my husband, who is American, has to do it as well? I am puzzled, I thought it was just for me since I am foreign and the pending application is for me.

Yes! because you both living to the new address and the record that he has on USCIS was the old address so he needs to submit the I-865 form so that USCIS can update his address on their inefficient system. LOL!

Hi there, AR 11 is for the immigrant spouse and I865 form is the sponsor change of address form. If your husband sponsored you then he has to mail I-865 form. It is required by the law. I have attached the link.

Thank you so much! I have already submitted  AR11 for myself and recevied a confirmation code via e-mail. We will make sure to also submit form I-865. I had no clue I had to send two forms!

Thanks everyone for being so helpful!

You are welcome. Many applicants don't know about this form but it is the law. There were few filers on VJ who sent it late without any issue. It's good that you will be mailing it on time, regards.
