I got my new -I-551 stamp today for another year only to find out case was sent to my local office. What does that mean?

I received my original notice in March 2017, then they moved my case to my local office in February 2018, does this mean I will have to wait another year to get approved or not :(

Case Was Received At My Local Office

On February 27, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number

This is nothing new, it's happening to a lot of people even for me. Somebody said this in an other topic: " Someone was told that Received at Local Office simply means that your records were removed from long storage and delivered to your Case Officer for action.  The VSC is your local office." So I would not worry about it. Right now Vermont takes up to 12 - 15.5 months. I got the "local office update on feb 27" and a RFE on march 2. I'm pretty sure you will hear something very soon! Hang in there.

Got an infopass appointment in the 2nd week of April. Still waiting to receive the "Notice by mail" by 28th (in response to we are processing your case," if you don't receive any notice by mail by 28th of March, submit an inquiry" case status in DHS my account) . I will open an inquiry on Wednesday if I still don't get any mail. Congratulations to those who finally got the approval, and those like us still waiting - May we be showered with more patience!!!

We were also thinking of filing for N-400 this weekend. No point of waiting for the ROC approval and wasting time. :(

Just as I was starting to get worried that my card hadn't yet arrvied they updated my case: "Card returned becasue the post office could not deliver" <_< So now I have to request they resend it.

All other USCIS correpondence was delivered with no problem. Does anybody know if I need my full name on the mailbox? I live in a apt bldg and there's the apt number and my last name on the the box. I'm thinking I might just have it resent to my work.

They told me the same thing, do you get the notice online and in the post? They have not asked for RFE and they gave me another stamp in my passport.

Have under two days to wait hopefully for some good news and so do you.

This is going to sound dumb but how early can you file your N400? Do I go from the expiration date of my current GC or when I first sent the documents for AOS? I'll probably wait anyway until I have the new GC in hand but I'm just wondering.

We've been waiting for a bit over a year now and I am not too sure what to do at this point.

No sooner than 90 days before the 3 year anniversary of your permanent residency status

See this link which will tell you your earliest filing date.

Well, before this - we always received notice by mail. I have no clue now!! If it was RFE, it would have been updated online, I believe, but who knows?? I will file an inquiry tomorrow since tomorrow is March 28th!!

If you do not receive your notice by March 28, 2018, send us a case inquiry and select that you did not receive your notice by mail.

That was from the case was received and local office status on Feb 25th. Is anyone going to try that case inquiry like the message suggested? Or has anyone tried? And what was the outcome?

I got the same message a few weeks ago and I wonder it is pretty unnecessary. CSC is way behind from its standard processing. Now USCIS introduced the new processing system to cover up their mess. Well, let's hope for better what else we could do.
