Hi All, I am sure this question has been asked already, but does applying for your N-400 while the I-751 is pending slow down the process even further? I filed my n-400 in February 2018 at the Chicago local office and my i751 in March 2017 at CSC.

I have been waiting for my ROC for 12 months now, and now worried that i may have made it worse by filing my N-400 early.

Anybody know's if this is truly the case?

Thanks,

I haven't file my N-400 but i see a  couple people here doing it so i dont think it affect your i75.good luck i hope we all hear something soon

I added my I-751 receipt number to the online N-400 website where there are few tabs and other options. This morning I got an email from USCIS

We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time

We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on March 23, 2017.

Glad your experience with the I-551 went smoothly at least! How long was the I-551 stamp good for? Did they give the option of putting it on a separate paper/card instead of the passport? My husband's is expiring soon and I'm concerned about him traveling back home to visit family and getting a new passport there--and then having a problem returning with the I-551.

It is good for one year from when the stamp was stamped in the passport. They didn't offer to put it on something separate but we also didn't ask. I doubt that they would, though. Anyone else know if this is possible?

So i am trying to make an infopass appointment but it is proving really difficult. My extension letter expires in 4 weeks and if i don't have my card approved or be able to make an appointment then i will not be able to continue with my job. Anyone else in the same boat?

We had a very difficult time getting an infopass appointment as well. I found that midnight on Sunday night/Monday morning all of the appointments open up every week for my local office.

Does the passport stamp have to be done before the 1 year extension letter expires? The 1 year extension expires in less than two weeks and I haven't been able to get an appointment yet. My husband needs to travel sometime in May.
