Do any of you think that the Vermont Service Center works in chronological order? Because I am a January 2016 filler and I have seen cases in this website that they have already approved people from February 2016 while others from December 2015 and January 2016, like me, still waiting?. Can you guys tell me how that center works? because I am already going crazy with all this waiting.

Laura1111, we'd ALL like to know how it works!!!  I'm an April 2016 VSC filer, and I would LOVE for your case to approved!

My sense is that some cases are a slam dunk - so blatantly obvious that they are done quickly.  Others are not as straight-forward.  I wish we all knew how the cases were divided up, and how they were assigned to Case Officers, and how they were processed.  It would also be nice to know approximately how long they spent on each case!  I'm betting they have a checklist of some sort, and the more checks you have on the list, the easier it is for them to adjudicate the case.

If anyone knows these answers, please share your knowledge.

In the meantime, Laura1111, hang in there, and know that there are a lot of people in line right behind you!

We already know that. 0.99 hours is the official time reported by USCIS, which means they spend 30-40 mins tops. Check my post here

because vermont filers wait so long, we think they do a crazy thorough examination. Well, not so much.
