Hi! I'm from the Philippines but based in Dubai. My fiance and I filed the petition for K1 visa last February 6, 2017. I just want to ask if a I134 form (Affidavit of support) is still a requirement for us even if he doesn't have a co-sponsor, his annual income is more than the minimum requirement and we've included in our packet his Tax papers/W2s.

A I-134 form is a very important requirement. That is the main form where you attach the financial documents of your petitioner.

-=ROC & Naturalization Timeline=-

January 22, 2022 - Case transferred

January 16, 2022 - Naturalization application received

April 20, 2023 - Oath Ceremony scheduled

Hello! You're also a beneficiary for K1 visa? I think you got a bit confused with the embassy/consulate. For k1 visas, they are all being processed/forwarded to the USEM in Abu Dhabi as far as I know. With regards to the letter from the embassy or that packet3 they call, I never received it and I've known a few people who pushed through the interview without it that's why I just took the risk of scheduling the interview too. I hope it goes well just like those beneficiaries that I've known.

Hi sis..did you went ahead with the interview without the packet 3? Please enlighten me :( My case was ready since April 5 and no packet 3 yet thus I decided to book an appointment this coming June 10. I really do not know if I should proceed or not..

Hello @Xie_xong I waited about 2 months since my case status updated to "ready" until I decided to book my appointment. I went and had the interview at the USEM without the packet 3 and the Immigrations officer asked for it though (just had to be a little aggressive and they almost refused to do interview without the packet 3) I don't suggest doing the same thing because there's a change that your case isn't in the embassy yet. You can try if it's been on ready status for months but be mindful as well that Ramadan can also affect their workload.

Thank you  @aaangel. Did you remember how you managed to convince the consul to proceed with the interview? I've seen cases here in VJ whose status were Ready first week of May and they have the packet3s already. I tried sending an email from them 4-5 times but I didn't receive any reply from them (they did reply to some though).
