Hi! I'm from the Philippines but based in Dubai. My fiance and I filed the petition for K1 visa last February 6, 2017. I just want to ask if a I134 form (Affidavit of support) is still a requirement for us even if he doesn't have a co-sponsor, his annual income is more than the minimum requirement and we've included in our packet his Tax papers/W2s.

Yes. He needs to supply the I-134 and required financial documents to go a long with it... this is at the interview stage, you do not include this in the initial I-129f filing packet.

Tax papers and W2s go to the embassy not to USCIS with the I-129f petition filing.

 

Yes, once NOA2 is received the petitioner will need to prepare and send you I-134, tax returns/transcripts, W2s, etc.

Damn - I was hoping you'd be from Cebu too so I can ask if you know if the Cebu NBI office can do the in-absentia issuance of the NBI clearance. I know the Manila office can, but not sure about the Cebu office. Meh =(

I think it'll be better to call the Philippine consulate just to be sure. They'll do the finger scanning and picture taking at the consulate here in Dubai and they'll forward it to the NBI office in Manila (not so sure if it's possible to have it sent and released in Cebu) Even if you're not from Manila, the NBI main office can process and release the clearance. With mine, I just asked someone to bring it here in Dubai just so I can save time and it's way cheaper.

Did you finish getting your NBI clearance already? Wow! Did you do an SPA? I will go to the consulate this Saturday to ask.
