Kind of funny, during the process I like the weekdays more then the weekends because that's when they're working in everyone's cases. No movement on weekends, lol.

Hi Guys,

90days when we start counting start from when they accept our application or after biometrics done?

Don't fixate on the 90 days, though. Current timelines show it's taking longer than that.

Thanks.  Wonder if you can ask when you're there and let me know what they say about the kids under 14 for biometrics and if they even need to be there if they don't need biometrics done.

So, as I was getting everything ready for tomorrow's appointment, I saw my 11-year old had received a letter of her own after all. My oldest, who had checked the mail, just hadn't told me.

So I guess that handles that. If your K2 child hasn't received one, I would call USCIS and ask.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

Well we haven't received any letter for biometrics yet for my wife, so I'll see when she gets hers, if the step-daughter will get hers also.  Would you mind asking the officer there anyways about it regarding if they don't get a biometrics letter, if they need to show up.  Thanks

So frustrating, our RFIE is for my husbands birth certificate. We sent in the correct one and a translation to English with it. The letter states that they need the birth certificate and translation which we sent, it also gives directions on what type they need and that's the one we sent. Now we are going to send the original and another copy. Should I send something else, like a letter explaining what we are re- sending?

I-129F sent- June 15

Lockbox received- June 16

Noa1- June 20

RFE- August 23

NOA2- September 1

NVC received- September 13

Case #- September 13

interview- October 31

POE- November 13

Married- November 23

This may have been answered, but i got caught out with the I 485 form being expired, the date at the top of the form was in date, but they have revised it since.....(own fault for not checking)

It all got sent back incredibly quick, but my question is, do i have to re-do all the forms, they have sent me back forms and evidence stapled together, can i just send these back or do i have to re do all the forms.

There was bright green sheet saying to include this on top of the new submission, would it be best to just make an entirely new folder?

Does your application got rejected? It sounds like my situation at first- my application got rejected because one of the check boxes being checked incorrectly. I just re-printed the page that I made an error on and submit it with everything else that got returned to me. They accepted it this time around.

We had the same situation. We made an InfoPass appointment and they confirmed we sent all the right stuff. Some agents just don't understand that not all birth certificates look the same :P We sent the same documents and translation with certification, plus printed out the Reciprocity Schedule as in the travel.state.gov link in the RFIE letter. We wrote a cover letter explaining that the document is the foreign birth certificate for his country according to their instructions in the RFIE.

Good luck!
