Congrats! Same date for biometrics here :). After receiving RFIE. Is that mean our cases are still going, they didn't stop them? Or return to the zero.

Thank you and Congratulations too.. Hope everything will go smoothly .. They said they will start working on my case after i send the initial evidence.. But i think anything before the biometric will not delay the progress hopefully

I received my Biometrics appointment letter almost 2 weeks ago.

I probably get ab RFE/RFIE because I only submitted my husband's 2015 tax retun but no letter of employment or pay stubs...and I don't know why 🙈😂

I agree. But at this point, I'm preparing to resend the package. I will wait till April 12 and see what they say at that point.  If they can't locate it, I have no other choice. I've already lost a whole month basically.

@Denis & San so sad and sorry to hear this. It is unfortunate. In my opinion, do not stop the cashing of your checks and also wait to hear from them. On the other hand I think I saw a link on USCIS site to correct some typographical errors, have you tried to explore that, and if it is possible, I will feel it will be better than sending out the entire package. Good luck, stay strong and positive. Cheers!!!

Update on my case: We received another letter from USCIS (sent on March 28, 2017), Notice to Applicant (not an RFE), that says they determined my I-693 has not been submitted. Their instruction says:

- If you receive an interview notice in the mail, you must bring your update form I-693 to your interview appointment.

- If your case does not require an interview, you will receive a Request for Evidence for Form I-693 with instructions on where to send Form I-693.

I'm glad that my AOS process is moving forward!

Only one concern is that I'm currently on the process of filling out I-693 with my doctor, and we are expecting it to be completed within next few weeks. I'm worried that my I-693 will expire before USCIS requires me to send it to them...

I know I should have waited until I receive an interview notice or RFE to have the medical exam done, but initially I was going to send it along with other forms, so I made an appointment with my doctor this month. I found out that I DID NOT have to send I-693 with other forms AFTER I made the appointment, so I decided to go ahead and send the package without it, since I didn't know how long it would take to have my I-693 ready...I hope the process won't take more than a year, but now all I can do is wait. Silly me...<_<

@SAK214 I got same letter, I wish you could put a hold on your medical appointment with the doctor for now as no one knows when the interview or waiver may come and if it isn't possible, do it and hold it till you are asked to send it. All the same good luck.

This week have absolutely been better than last week, I am so happy for us all. At least from not getting anything from USCIS to RFE/RFIE, biometrics, checks cashed, NOA1 etc, I say congratulations from my heart and to our dear friends who haven't got any update, please stay strong and positive, we shall all be happy to tell good stories of this journey in the end.

Let us be swift in responding to RFIE/RFE so as not to delay the processes. I will say God have been on our side for the March group as responses have been faster than so many in prior months.

For the inspirations and encouragements please keep it coming and God bless us all. Next week will be better than this week. Cheers! Have a great weekend folks.

For those of you who haven't submitted I-693 with your AOS package, do we get a notice from the USCIS when they want it, or are we responsible for organising it so we can take it to our interview? And if we choose to deliver it at the interview, do we get given a date for the interview, and is there enough time between when we are told about the interview, and the actual interview itself to organise the medical exam?

I'll see if I could hold on to it, I already finished a required vaccination shot and got a record of it, and all the necessary blood tests and chest X-ray are also done, as well.

All we need to do is to fill out the form, sign on it and seal it. I just don't want to create any confusion between us and the doctor...

You're right, we never know how long the process will take...especially with the backlog. Thank you for your advice! Good luck to you, too!

I know this may be a personal question, and feel free not to answer if you don't want to, but how much has your medical bills for all the tests etc you've had done come to?

You're totally fine! I am a military dependent and my medical exam is being done by a military physician who is authorized to fill out I-693 (when we talked to hospital employees about the form, they knew exactly what we were talking about and set up my appointment with a doctor who's authorized to fill it out) on a military medical facility, and so far I'm not being charged with any medical bill. But when I called some of the doctors on the list on the USCIS website off the base, they told me it'd cost me over $500 to do all the testing and vaccination necessary.

I'm sorry I couldn't give you any useful information...
