Hi.  I've been stressing about my AOS, Ead, AP status.

All of the forms arrived in Chicago on 3/13. I have not received any notification and my check has not been cashed. I didn't expect to have to wait this long for the NOA, its been 3 weeks!  I called USCIS on friday, and one of the agents had me put on a list for another agent to call me back later and help with the case, sadly i wasn't available and didn't talk with them when they called.  So i called back later in the day, talked with a different agent, and they said i would have to call back after 30 days of it being received at the Chicago lockbox.  I'm thinking of calling back tomorrow and trying to talk with an agent that will look into my case.

so 3 weeks officially today, anybody else with a similar wait time?

Mine was received on the 16th, so it's already the 19th day, and I still have nothing from them. You'll have to wait after 30 days to talk to uscis.

Btw, do you live in Sacramento, too?

Same here.  Same exact timeline.  Sent AOS package on 3/9/17 and they it was received and signed for on Sunday 3/12/17 at night.  Basically, it arrived there on 3/13/17.  Still no NOA and check hasn't been cashed.  It's been exactly 21 days now.  I sent an email to Chicago Lockbox support today asking them status.  Will see when that gets answered, but on their website, it also states to contact them after 30 days if you don't hear from them.  I sent my email to them early since it mentions that it can take up to 15 business days for someone to respond, so I figure by the time someone takes a look, it will be past 30 days.

Still nothing yet, Denis?  I don't know what could be wrong with our cases..

I know right. Mine was worse since I'm gonna graduate in May, so I need something in order not to be out of status. I think we should be more positive hoping that they'd do something before this week ends. Good luck to you, Denis!

As long as you get a case number and your paperwork is in process, you won't be out of status.  The key here is to actually get a case number, which you and I are in the same boat.

i got RFIE in mail yesterday and it is about my affidavit of birth is insufficient as they say it is only secondary evidience. It was accepted in the embassy in Nepal but now they want the reason also why i dont have birth record in the government letterhead signed by government authority.

This is really never ending process. So much exhausted!!!! Dont know how can i fix it.

It says i have to submit it within 87days. Just wondering what happens if it is delayed. Will it be denied?

Hi @raini7, if you have registered your birth in Nepal, then you can ask the "birth registration certificate" from your district.

When I made one the procedure was, first get a recommendation letter (aka shifarish in Nepali) from an official of local VDC (as I was born in village). Then take that letter to District office and get a "birth registration certificate" in a government letterhead.

So weird...yours got a case number in 8 days while we submitted our packets way before you did and still nothing.  Did you hire an attorney?  Just curious, because I didn't.  As far as I can tell, all my paperwork is correct, all forms are up to date and the checks are all correct.  So I have no idea what's the hold up.

I'm following your case too. Bc you sent around same time as mine.

I live in NY and sent to Chicago lockbox.

Do you wrote right amount on check right?

Yes, I did. I double checked it several times before I sent it out. The only 3 things that I didn't include is the form I-130A (I sent out the G-325A), the 4 photos (I only attached 3), and the paystubs of my husband and my co-sponsor. In case they return the package back to me, if it's not because of these 3 reasons, then it's because I must have made some mistakes on the forms such as checking the wrong box or missing information.
