Hi question, so when is your receipt date on your notification? I am wondering if they put an earlier date there or they put today's date there. Thankssss. It is not fair to us, if they put the current date there.

Sent in our AOS paperwork earlier this week, with a request to expedite the I-131 (April 17 departure date for reasons of financial loss, all evidence included in packet).

Very concerned about the recent delays in NOA1 and how this could impact the expedition of our I-131 application. I know that it was dangerous to cut things so close, but there were extenuating circumstances that prevented us from filing earlier.

Any ideas as to if we have a chance of making it?

US immigration won't be fair and won't treat every case the same. Your best bet is to never compare your case to others and only to focus on yours. If you start comparing yours to others, you might get frustrated and get anxiety. Just look at what already happens to those who have to wait longer than 2 weeks for their NOA's. Their world is basically falling apart in their eyes because they see others who get their notifications earlier than them.

I am the one who havent got any NOA for 22 days...I was saying it is not fair not by comparing to others who got theirs early. I was thinking the 90 days processing time, cuz my EAD will expire 3 months later. I was thinking my application forms are not the most updated one (by the time I mailed them they were, but not now, they have been updated already), and afraid that they may ask me to redo the forms. Which will delay the applications even more. If not because of my EAD issue, I wont care when they process them. I am getting more and more frustrated everyday, not by comparing with others, but by my tight timeline here. Please do not comment by just looking one single comment of mine...

Thanks for the suggestion. Sounds great! I was checking the local libraries websites and I just need to get a library card. As soon as I receive NOA in the mail I will be able to start driving license process  and will be free!! ? ... to see places around.

a lot of times, you don't need US IDs to get library cards if you also have a bill/mail to your name in your city.

Here in San Francisco, you just need a pulse to get a library card.
